馬太福音4:12-17

 

4:12 耶穌聽見約翰下了監，就退到加利利去；
4:13 後又離開拿撒勒，往迦百農去，就住在那裡。那地方靠海，在西布倫和拿弗他利的邊界上。
4:14 這是要應驗先知以賽亞的話，
4:15 說：西布倫地，拿弗他利地，就是沿海的路，約旦河外，外邦人的加利利地─
4:16 那坐在黑暗裡的百姓看見了大光；坐在死蔭之地的人有光發現照著他們。
4:17 從那時候，耶穌就傳起道來，說：「天國近了，你們應當悔改！」

 

¹² When Jesus heard that John had been put in prison, he withdrew to Galilee. ¹³ Leaving Nazareth, he went and lived in Capernaum, which was by the lake in the area of Zebulun and Naphtali— ¹⁴ to fulfill what was said through the prophet Isaiah:

¹⁵ “Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali,
    the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan,
    Galilee of the Gentiles—
¹⁶ the people living in darkness
    have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow of death
    a light has dawned.”^[f]

¹⁷ From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

     以賽亞這段話可以對應施洗約翰的父親撒迦利亞的預言：「因我們上帝憐憫的心腸，叫清晨的日光從高天臨到我們，要照亮坐在黑暗中死蔭裡的人，把我們的腳引到平安的路上。」(路加福音1:78-79)

 

    是的，主耶穌就是「大光」、「清晨的日光」，要光照我們這些在黑暗中的人，要將我們從黑暗的國度拯救出來，引導我們到祂的光明國度！正如約翰所說：「道就是生命的根源，這生命把光賜給人類。光照射黑暗，黑暗從沒有勝過光。」(約翰福音1:4-5)

 

    也因為這樣，我們要順應耶穌基督的呼召：「天國近了，你們應當悔改！」

 

    讓我們來悔改歸向上帝，進入光明之中！
