馬太福音8:5-13

 

8:5 耶穌進了迦百農，有一個百夫長進前來，求他說：
8:6 「主啊，我的僕人害癱瘓病，躺在家裡，甚是疼苦。」
8:7 耶穌說：「我去醫治他。」
8:8 百夫長回答說：「主啊，你到我舍下，我不敢當；只要你說一句話，我的僕人就必好了。
8:9 因為我在人的權下，也有兵在我以下；對這個說：『去！』他就去；對那個說：『來！』他就來；對我的僕人說：『你做這事！』他就去做。」
8:10 耶穌聽見就希奇，對跟從的人說：「我實在告訴你們，這麼大的信心，就是在以色列中，我也沒有遇見過。
8:11 我又告訴你們，從東從西，將有許多人來，在天國裡與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各一同坐席；
8:12 惟有本國的子民竟被趕到外邊黑暗裡去，在那裡必要哀哭切齒了。」
8:13 耶穌對百夫長說：「你回去吧！照你的信心，給你成全了。」那時，他的僕人就好了。

 

⁵ When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. ⁶ “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”

⁷ Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”

⁸ The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. ⁹ For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”

¹⁰ When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. ¹¹ I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. ¹² But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

¹³ Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.

    耶穌對百夫長說：「你回去吧！照你的信心，給你成全了。」那時，他的僕人就好了。

 

    有許多人讀了這段經文，以為真的是百夫長的信心夠大，所以他的僕人才會得醫治！

 

    要是這樣認為，就大錯特錯了！因為「成全」的是上帝，不是「信心」！但這也不是說「信心」不重要，「信心」仍然是重要的，上帝就是藉這這個管道來成就大事！只是上帝要成的事，是無法攔阻的，祂必定賜下夠用的信心來成全！

 

    也因為這樣，我們憑著信心來認定上帝的作為是必要的，也唯有這樣我們才會有禱告的行動，正如百夫長相耶穌求：「主啊，我的僕人害癱瘓病，躺在家裡，甚是疼苦。」

 

    禱告是讓我們投入上帝的旨意中，讓我們預備好自己，經歷上帝大能的作為！所以，一切都是上帝的主權，我們的責任就是敬畏與歸榮耀給上帝！上帝必定預備最好的給我們！
