耶利米書48:26-47

48:26 「你們要使摩押沉醉，因他向耶和華誇大。他要在自己所吐之中打滾，又要被人嗤笑。
48:27 摩押啊，你不曾嗤笑以色列嗎？她豈是在賊中查出來的呢？你每逢提到她便搖頭。
48:28 摩押的居民哪，要離開城邑，住在山崖裡，像鴿子在深淵口上搭窩。
48:29 我們聽說摩押人驕傲，是極其驕傲；聽說他自高自傲，並且狂妄，居心自大。
48:30 耶和華說：我知道他的忿怒是虛空的；他誇大的話一無所成。
48:31 因此，我要為摩押哀號，為摩押全地呼喊；人必為吉珥‧哈列設人歎息。
48:32 西比瑪的葡萄樹啊，我為你哀哭，甚於雅謝人哀哭。你的枝子蔓延過海，直長到雅謝海。那行毀滅的已經臨到你夏天的果子和你所摘的葡萄。
48:33 肥田和摩押地的歡喜快樂都被奪去；我使酒醡的酒絕流，無人踹酒歡呼；那歡呼卻變為仇敵的吶喊（原文是那歡呼卻不是歡呼）。
48:34 「希實本人發的哀聲達到以利亞利，直達到雅雜；從瑣珥達到何羅念，直到伊基拉‧施利施亞，因為寧林的水必然乾涸。」
48:35 耶和華說：「我必在摩押地使那在邱壇獻祭的，和那向他的神燒香的都斷絕了。
48:36 我心腹為摩押哀鳴如簫，我心腸為吉珥•哈列設人也是如此，因摩押人所得的財物都滅沒了。
48:37 「各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剪短，手有劃傷，腰束麻布。
48:38 在摩押的各房頂上和街市上處處有人哀哭；因我打碎摩押，好像打碎無人喜悅的器皿。這是耶和華說的。
48:39 摩押何等毀壞！何等哀號！何等羞愧轉背！這樣，摩押必令四圍的人嗤笑驚駭。」
48:40 耶和華如此說：仇敵必如大鷹飛起，展開翅膀，攻擊摩押。
48:41 加略被攻取，保障也被佔據。到那日，摩押的勇士心中疼痛如臨產的婦人。
48:42 摩押必被毀滅，不再成國，因他向耶和華誇大。
48:43 耶和華說：摩押的居民哪，恐懼、陷坑、網羅都臨近你。
48:44 躲避恐懼的必墜入陷坑；從陷坑上來的必被網羅纏住；因我必使追討之年臨到摩押。這是耶和華說的。
48:45 躲避的人無力站在希實本的影下；因為有火從希實本發出，有火焰出於西宏的城，燒盡摩押的角和鬨嚷人的頭頂。
48:46 摩押啊，你有禍了！屬基抹的民滅亡了！因你的眾子都被擄去，你的眾女也被擄去。
48:47 耶和華說：到末後，我還要使被擄的摩押人歸回。摩押受審判的話到此為止。

²⁶ Make him drunk, because he magnified himself against the Lord; let Moab wallow in his vomit; he too shall become a laughingstock. ²⁷Israel was a laughingstock for you, though he was not caught among thieves; but whenever you spoke of him you shook your head!

Leave the towns, and live on the rock,

O inhabitants of Moab!

Be like the dove that nests

on the sides of the mouth of a gorge.

29

We have heard of the pride of Moab—

he is very proud—

of his loftiness, his pride, and his arrogance,

and the haughtiness of his heart.

30

I myself know his insolence, says the Lord;

his boasts are false,

his deeds are false.

31

Therefore I wail for Moab;

I cry out for all Moab;

for the people of Kir-heres I mourn.

32

More than for Jazer I weep for you,

O vine of Sibmah!

Your branches crossed over the sea,

reached as far as Jazer;

upon your summer fruits and your vintage

the destroyer has fallen.

33

Gladness and joy have been taken away

from the fruitful land of Moab;

I have stopped the wine from the wine presses;

no one treads them with shouts of joy;

the shouting is not the shout of joy.

³⁴ Heshbon and Elealeh cry out; as far as Jahaz they utter their voice, from Zoar to Horonaim and Eglath-shelishiyah. For even the waters of Nimrim have become desolate. ³⁵And I will bring to an end in Moab, says the Lord, those who offer sacrifice at a high place and make offerings to their gods. ³⁶Therefore my heart moans for Moab like a flute, and my heart moans like a flute for the people of Kir-heres; for the riches they gained have perished.

³⁷ For every head is shaved and every beard cut off; on all the hands there are gashes, and on the loins sackcloth. ³⁸On all the housetops of Moab and in the squares there is nothing but lamentation; for I have broken Moab like a vessel that no one wants, says the Lord. ³⁹How it is broken! How they wail! How Moab has turned his back in shame! So Moab has become a derision and a horror to all his neighbors.

40

For thus says the Lord:

Look, he shall swoop down like an eagle,

and spread his wings against Moab;

41

the towns shall be taken

and the strongholds seized.

The hearts of the warriors of Moab, on that day,

shall be like the heart of a woman in labor.

42

Moab shall be destroyed as a people,

because he magnified himself against the Lord.

43

Terror, pit, and trap

are before you, O inhabitants of Moab!

says the Lord.

44

Everyone who flees from the terror

shall fall into the pit,

and everyone who climbs out of the pit

shall be caught in the trap.

For I will bring these things upon Moab

in the year of their punishment,

says the Lord.

45

In the shadow of Heshbon

fugitives stop exhausted;

for a fire has gone out from Heshbon,

a flame from the house of Sihon;

it has destroyed the forehead of Moab,

the scalp of the people of tumult.

46

Woe to you, O Moab!

The people of Chemosh have perished,

for your sons have been taken captive,

and your daughters into captivity.

47

Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab

in the latter days, says the Lord.

Thus far is the judgment on Moab.

    上帝之所以讓摩押受到審判，受到敵國的攻擊而敗亡，是因為他們的驕傲！

    這不禁讓我們想到：上帝阻擋驕傲的人，賜福給謙卑的人！

耶利米書48:16-25

48:16 摩押的災殃臨近；她的苦難速速來到。
48:17 凡在她四圍的和認識她名的，你們都要為她悲傷，說：那結實的杖和那美好的棍，何竟折斷了呢？
48:18 住在底本的民（原文是女子）哪，要從你榮耀的位上下來，坐受乾渴；因毀滅摩押的上來攻擊你，毀壞了你的保障。
48:19 住亞羅珥的啊，要站在道旁觀望，問逃避的男人和逃脫的女人說：是甚麼事呢？
48:20 摩押因毀壞蒙羞；你們要哀號呼喊，要在亞嫩旁報告說：摩押變為荒場！
48:21 「刑罰臨到平原之地的何倫、雅雜、米法押、
48:22 底本、尼波、伯‧低比拉太音、
48:23 基列亭、伯‧迦末、伯‧米恩、
48:24 加略、波斯拉，和摩押地遠近所有的城邑。
48:25 摩押的角砍斷了，摩押的膀臂折斷了。這是耶和華說的。」

The calamity of Moab is near at hand

and his doom approaches swiftly.

Mourn over him, all you his neighbors,

and all who know his name;

say, “How the mighty scepter is broken,

the glorious staff!”

18

Come down from glory,

and sit on the parched ground,

enthroned daughter Dibon!

For the destroyer of Moab has come up against you;

he has destroyed your strongholds.

19

Stand by the road and watch,

you inhabitant of Aroer!

Ask the man fleeing and the woman escaping;

say, “What has happened?”

20

Moab is put to shame, for it is broken down;

wail and cry!

Tell it by the Arnon,

that Moab is laid waste.

²¹ Judgment has come upon the tableland, upon Holon, and Jahzah, and Mephaath, ²²and Dibon, and Nebo, and Beth-diblathaim, ²³and Kiriathaim, and Beth-gamul, and Beth-meon, ²⁴and Kerioth, and Bozrah, and all the towns of the land of Moab, far and near. ²⁵The horn of Moab is cut off, and his arm is broken, says the Lord.

    延續上面的敘述，上帝使摩押各個城市被打敗！

耶利米書48:11-15

48:11 摩押自幼年以來常享安逸，如酒在渣滓上澄清，沒有從這器皿倒在那器皿裡，也未曾被擄去。因此，它的原味尚存，香氣未變。
48:12 耶和華說：「日子將到，我必打發倒酒的往她那裡去，將她倒出來，倒空她的器皿，打碎她的罈子。
48:13 摩押必因基抹羞愧，像以色列家從前倚靠伯特利的神羞愧一樣。
48:14 你們怎麼說：我們是勇士，是有勇力打仗的呢？
48:15 摩押變為荒場，敵人上去進了她的城邑。她所特選的少年人下去遭了殺戮；這是君王─名為萬軍之耶和華說的。

Moab has been at ease from his youth,

settled like wine on its dregs;

he has not been emptied from vessel to vessel,

nor has he gone into exile;

therefore his flavor has remained

and his aroma is unspoiled.

¹² Therefore, the time is surely coming, says the Lord, when I shall send to him decanters to decant him, and empty his vessels, and break his jars in pieces. ¹³Then Moab shall be ashamed of Chemosh, as the house of Israel was ashamed of Bethel, their confidence.

How can you say, “We are heroes

and mighty warriors”?

15

The destroyer of Moab and his towns has come up,

and the choicest of his young men have gone down to slaughter,

says the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts.

    先知用釀酒的比喻來說明，摩押過去沒有受到嚴重的災難。但是現在可不同了，要受到極大的傷害，正如上帝所說：「日子將到，我必打發倒酒的往她那裡去，將她倒出來，倒空她的器皿，打碎她的罈子。」

    上帝甚至於宣告：「摩押變為荒場，敵人上去進了她的城邑，她所特選的少年人下去遭了殺戮。」

    可見上帝要為猶大申冤，使列國也受到審判，讓各國都蒙羞。可見上帝是多麼愛祂的子民，不願祂的子民被羞辱！

耶利米書48章

耶利米書48:1-10

48:1 論摩押。萬軍之耶和華─以色列的上帝如此說：尼波有禍了！因變為荒場。基列亭蒙羞被攻取；米斯迦蒙羞被毀壞；
48:2 摩押不再被稱讚。有人在希實本設計謀害她，說：來吧！我們將她剪除，不再成國。瑪得緬哪，你也必默默無聲；刀劍必追趕你。
48:3 從何羅念有喊荒涼大毀滅的哀聲：
48:4 摩押毀滅了！她的孩童（或譯：家僮）發哀聲，使人聽見。
48:5 人上魯希坡隨走隨哭，因為在何羅念的下坡聽見毀滅的哀聲。
48:6 你們要奔逃，自救性命，獨自居住，好像曠野的杜松。
48:7 你因倚靠自己所做的和自己的財寶必被攻取。基抹和屬他的祭司、首領也要一同被擄去。
48:8 行毀滅的必來到各城，並無一城得免。山谷必致敗落，平原必被毀壞；正如耶和華所說的。
48:9 要將翅膀給摩押，使她可以飛去。她的城邑必致荒涼，無人居住。
48:10 （懶惰為耶和華行事的，必受咒詛；禁止刀劍不經血的，必受咒詛。）

Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:

Alas for Nebo, it is laid waste!

Kiriathaim is put to shame, it is taken;

the fortress is put to shame and broken down;

the renown of Moab is no more.

In Heshbon they planned evil against her:

“Come, let us cut her off from being a nation!”

You also, O Madmen, shall be brought to silence;

the sword shall pursue you.

Hark! a cry from Horonaim,

“Desolation and great destruction!”

4

“Moab is destroyed!”

her little ones cry out.

5

For at the ascent of Luhith

they go up weeping bitterly;

for at the descent of Horonaim

they have heard the distressing cry of anguish.

6

Flee! Save yourselves!

Be like a wild ass in the desert!

 

7

Surely, because you trusted in your strongholds and your treasures,

you also shall be taken;

Chemosh shall go out into exile,

with his priests and his attendants.

8

The destroyer shall come upon every town,

and no town shall escape;

the valley shall perish,

and the plain shall be destroyed,

as the Lord has spoken.

9

Set aside salt for Moab,

for she will surely fall;

her towns shall become a desolation,

with no inhabitant in them.

¹⁰ Accursed is the one who is slack in doing the work of the Lord; and accursed is the one who keeps back the sword from bloodshed.

    我們在這裡看見上帝雖然是以色列的上帝，祂更是萬軍之耶和華，表是上帝是萬國萬邦的上帝，不侷限在以色列。也因此，世界各國都在他的掌握之中，連先知在此所論到的摩押國也是如此！

    這也是為甚麼福音是要傳給萬國萬民，不是以色列人獨享。因為上帝的拯救是從以色列開始，以萬民得救為終點。這也是為甚麼主耶穌說：「所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒。」

    既然如此，先知論到摩押的事，是非常自然的事情。雖然摩押是外邦，卻是羅德的後代，與亞伯拉罕的後裔，也有血緣關係的！
