13:1 那日，必給大衛家和耶路撒冷的居民開一個泉源，洗除罪惡與污穢。
13:2 萬軍之耶和華說：「那日，我必從地上除滅偶像的名，不再被人記念；也必使這地不再有假先知與污穢的靈。
13:3 若再有人說預言，生他的父母必對他說：『你不得存活，因為你託耶和華的名說假預言。』生他的父母在他說預言的時候，要將他刺透。
13:4 那日，凡作先知說預言的必因他所論的異象羞愧，不再穿毛衣哄騙人。
13:5 他必說：『我不是先知，我是耕地的；我從幼年作人的奴僕。』
13:6 必有人問他說：『你兩臂中間是甚麼傷呢？』他必回答說：『這是我在親友家中所受的傷。』」
"On that day there shall be a fountain
opened for the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them
from sin and uncleanness.
"And on that day, declares the Lord of
hosts, I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that they shall
be remembered no more. And also I will remove from the land the prophets and
the spirit of uncleanness. And if anyone again prophesies, his father and
mother who bore him will say to him, 'You shall not live, for you speak lies in
the name of the Lord. ' And his father and mother who bore him shall pierce him
through when he prophesies.
"On that day every prophet will be
ashamed of his vision when he prophesies. He will not put on a hairy cloak in
order to deceive, but he will say, 'I am no prophet, I am a worker of the soil,
for a man sold me in my youth. ' And if one asks him, 'What are these wounds on
your back? ' he will say, 'The wounds I received in the house of my friends. '

在這裡讓我們看見耶穌基督的來臨之後，除了洗淨人的罪，就是禁止說「預言」和不再拜偶像，因為一切的啟示已經完全了！上帝要親自坐王，治理一切，偶像不能再欺騙人了！人也不需要偶像，人要來尋求上帝，靠耶穌才能獲得拯救！
因此，在我們基督徒當中，不要高舉人為先知，也不要做發預言的人，這些都是出於偶像崇拜。唯有聖經，才是我們的依歸，講道或傳信息，都要以聖經為依歸。
