撒迦利亞書13:7-9

13:7 萬軍之耶和華說：刀劍哪，應當興起，攻擊我的牧人和我的同伴。擊打牧人，羊就分散；我必反手加在微小者的身上。

13:8 耶和華說：這全地的人，三分之二必剪除而死，三分之一仍必存留。

13:9 我要使這三分之一經火，熬煉他們，如熬煉銀子；試煉他們，如試煉金子。他們必求告我的名，我必應允他們。我要說：這是我的子民。他們也要說：耶和華是我們的上帝。

"Awake, O sword, against my shepherd,

against the man who stands next to me,"

declares the Lord of hosts.

 "Strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;

I will turn my hand against the little ones.

In the whole land, declares the Lord,

two thirds shall be cut off and perish,

 and one third shall be left alive.

And I will put this third into the fire,

and refine them as one refines silver,

and test them as gold is tested.

 They will call upon my name,

and I will answer them.

 I will say, 'They are my people';

and they will say, 'The Lord is my God. '"

    這段經文好像是支持「災後被提說」，因為最後被主所保守人，是「經火，熬煉他們，如熬煉銀子；試煉他們，如試煉金子」。

    然而這群人的特質是：「他們必求告我的名」。然而上帝應許：「我必應允他們。我要說：這是我的子民。他們也要說：耶和華是我們的上帝」。
