希伯來書6:4-8

6:4 論到那些已經蒙了光照、嘗過天恩的滋味、又於聖靈有分，
6:5 並嘗過上帝善道的滋味、覺悟來世權能的人，
6:6 若是離棄道理，就不能叫他們重新懊悔了。因為他們把上帝的兒子重釘十字架，明明地羞辱他。
6:7 就如一塊田地，吃過屢次下的雨水，生長菜蔬，合乎耕種的人用，就從上帝得福；
6:8 若長荊棘和蒺藜，必被廢棄，近於咒詛，結局就是焚燒。

⁴ It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, ⁵ who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age ⁶ and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. ⁷ Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. ⁸ But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.

    不管是不是警告或是有這樣的事實，就是有人從真正與上帝有關係的狀態下失落了，失去和上帝的關係。這是非常危險的事情！因為不是上帝不接納他，而是他自己感到沒有資格再回到上帝面前！

    也因此我們要像猶大書所說的：「親愛的弟兄啊，你們卻要在至聖的真道上造就自己，在聖靈裡禱告，保守自己常在上帝的愛中，仰望我們主耶穌基督的憐憫，直到永生。」（20-21）

    要遠離惡事、敬畏耶和華！要心想若不是上帝的恩典，我們怎能夠常常在主的愛中成長與茁壯，與上帝的國有份呢？這一切不是我們努力得來的，是上帝格外的恩典在我們身上！我們豈可輕忽上帝的保守與帶領，任由自己離開上帝呢！
