8:1 耶和華說：「到那時，人必將猶大王的骸骨和他首領的骸骨、祭司的骸骨、先知的骸骨，並耶路撒冷居民的骸骨，都從墳墓中取出來，
8:2 拋散在日頭、月亮，和天上眾星之下，就是他們從前所喜愛、所事奉、所隨從、所求問、所敬拜的。這些骸骨不再收殮，不再葬埋，必在地面上成為糞土；
8:3 並且這惡族所剩下的民在我所趕他們到的各處，寧可揀死不揀生。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。」
"At that time, declares the Lord, the
bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of its officials, the bones of the
priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of
Jerusalem shall be brought out of their tombs. 2 And they shall be spread
before the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, which they have loved
and served, which they have gone after, and which they have sought and
worshiped. And they shall not be gathered or buried. They shall be as dung on
the surface of the ground. 3 Death shall be preferred to life by all the
remnant that remains of this evil family in all the places where I have driven
them, declares the Lord of hosts.

先知在此奉主的名向那些喜愛敬拜天上星辰、月亮、太陽的猶大人發出的警告，讓他們之道唯有耶和華是上帝，祂掌管一切，不敬畏祂的人，上帝就隨人來處置他們的屍體，使他們死也不安寧！
這雖然是很嚴重的警告，但是我們不可輕忽上帝的警告，我必須知道上帝是烈火，是輕慢不得的！我們不要以為上帝是充滿恩典與憐憫，就隨意侍奉祂，就不注意自己的行為，不遵照祂的命令而行，繼續悖逆祂，這樣就無法蒙祂拯救了！
也因為如此，我們既蒙了耶穌基督的拯救，得了兒子的名分，就當竭力追求聖潔，保守自己常常在上帝的憐憫之中直到永生，這是我們一生要努力的方向，好使我們有把握我們必定回到天家，不使聖靈擔憂！
