21:10 耶穌既進了耶路撒冷，合城都驚動了，說：「這是誰？」
21:11 眾人說：「這是加利利拿撒勒的先知耶穌。」
21:12 耶穌進了上帝的殿，趕出殿裡一切做買賣的人，推倒兌換銀錢之人的桌子，和賣鴿子之人的凳子，
21:13 對他們說：「經上記著說：我的殿必稱為禱告的殿，你們倒使它成為賊窩了。」
21:14 在殿裡有瞎子、瘸子到耶穌跟前，他就治好了他們。
21:15 祭司長和文士看見耶穌所行的奇事，又見小孩子在殿裡喊著說：「和散那歸於大衛的子孫！」就甚惱怒，
21:16 對他說：「這些人所說的，你聽見了嗎？」耶穌說：「是的。經上說『你從嬰孩和吃奶的口中完全了讚美』的話，你們沒有念過嗎？」
21:17 於是離開他們，出城到伯大尼去，在那裡住宿。
12 Jesus entered the temple courts and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. 13 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’[e] but you are making it ‘a den of robbers.’[f]”
14 The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them. 15 But when the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw the wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple courts, “Hosanna to the Son of David,” they were indignant.
16 “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him.
“Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and
infants
you,
Lord, have called forth your praise’[g]?”
17 And he left them and went out of the city to Bethany, where he spent the night.

主耶穌到聖殿是做「清潔」的工作，因為人為的利益，使聖殿失去了原樣，正如主耶穌在這裡所說：「經上記著說：我的殿必稱為禱告的殿，你們倒使它成為賊窩了。」
這也讓我們想到今日我們如何使用禮拜堂的空間，我們既然將那個地方分別為聖，讓上帝在那裏與人相會，我們是不是預備好讓禮拜堂成為禱告的地方，宣講上帝話語的地方？還是利用上帝的名來圖謀自己的利益呢？是不是用來榮耀上帝或是做自己的舞台呢？
也因為這樣，我們到禮拜堂的時候，就像聖詩《上帝此時臨在》所說：
上帝此時臨在，大家同心敬拜，佇主面前虔誠服事；上帝佇聖殿內，大家恬靜禮拜，心肝專一敬虔跪拜。獨一真父上帝，信靠主免掛礙；謳咾祂到萬代。
上帝永遠存在，彈琴彈瑟和諧，萬姓萬族圍圍敬拜；聖哉聖哉聖哉，音韻透到天涯，天使聖徒近前服事。懇求主俯落聽，阮所吟卑微聲；要謳咾祢尊名。
懇求萬福源頭，清氣我心齊透，只靠聖主慈悲長流；親像聖使齊齊，看祢燦爛榮耀，使阮謳咾透到父兜。聖旨意到永遠，萬軍的主臨到；管理聖會做頭。
