29:1 （大衛的詩。）上帝的眾子啊，你們要將榮耀、能力歸給耶和華，歸給耶和華！
29:2 要將耶和華的名所當得的榮耀歸給他，以聖潔的（的：或譯為）妝飾敬拜耶和華。
29:3 耶和華的聲音發在水上；榮耀的上帝打雷，耶和華打雷在大水之上。
29:4 耶和華的聲音大有能力；耶和華的聲音滿有威嚴。
29:5 耶和華的聲音震破香柏樹；耶和華震碎黎巴嫩的香柏樹。
29:6 他也使之跳躍如牛犢，使黎巴嫩和西連跳躍如野牛犢。
29:7 耶和華的聲音使火焰分岔。
29:8 耶和華的聲音震動曠野；耶和華震動加低斯的曠野。
29:9 耶和華的聲音驚動母鹿落胎，樹木也脫落淨光。凡在他殿中的，都稱說他的榮耀。
29:10 洪水泛濫之時，耶和華坐著為王；耶和華坐著為王，直到永遠。
29:11 耶和華必賜力量給他的百姓；耶和華必賜平安的福給他的百姓。

Sirion[b] like a young wild ox.

with flashes of lightning.
8 The voice of the Lord shakes the desert;
the Lord shakes the Desert of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord twists the oaks[c]
and strips the forests bare.
And in his temple all cry, “Glory!”

與上帝有美好的關係，來自於對上帝的敬拜，然而什麼是敬拜上帝呢？就是述說上帝大能的作為，把榮耀歸給上帝！那我們怎能知道上帝大能的作為呢？當然需要聖靈的啟示，因為我們自從亞當夏娃犯罪以來，人雖然可以透過感覺器官和心思意念，而得著一般啟示。然而對救贖的事情卻不明白，唯有透過聖靈的引導，才能認識上帝的救恩，願意透過耶穌基督與上帝和好，領受上帝所賜兒女的身分，不再與上帝為敵了！
也因為透過耶穌基督，我們才能如使徒彼得所說：「惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬上帝的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。」（彼得前書2:9）如此，我們才可活出人之尊榮，成為光明之子！生命的意義也因為這樣才能展現出來，使上帝的名得著該有的稱讚！
也因為如此人才能認定：「洪水泛濫之時，耶和華坐著為王；耶和華坐著為王，直到永遠。耶和華必賜力量給他的百姓；耶和華必賜平安的福給他的百姓。」
讓我們靠主耶穌的救贖大恩，成為有福的人，也讓上帝得著榮耀與稱讚，心得滿足！
