2:1 禍哉，那些在床上圖謀罪孽、造作奸惡的！天一發亮，因手有能力就行出來了。
2:2 他們貪圖田地就佔據，貪圖房屋便奪取；他們欺壓人，霸佔房屋和產業。

and work evil on their beds!
When the morning dawns, they perform it,
because it is in the power of their hand.
They covet fields and seize them,
and houses, and take them away;
they oppress a man and his house,

先知在這裡警告作惡的人，因為他們是有禍的人！
晚上圖謀罪孽，造作奸惡。然後利用權勢來作惡，就是欺壓人，霸佔房屋和產業。似乎做得天衣無縫，但是再怎樣上帝都看見，時間到了上帝必定有所作為。
然而這些作惡的人，卻沒有想到，他們所圖謀的有一天必定落空，並且會身敗名裂。因為他們所作所為違反公平正義，樹立了許多仇敵卻不自知。有一天，公義彰顯時，他們必招反噬！也因此有禍了！
