10:1 「那時，耶和華吩咐我說：『你要鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，上山到我這裡來，又要做一木櫃。
10:2 你先前摔碎的那版，其上的字我要寫在這版上；你要將這版放在櫃中。』
10:3 於是我用皂莢木做了一櫃，又鑿出兩塊石版，和先前的一樣，手裡拿這兩塊版上山去了。
10:4 耶和華將那大會之日、在山上從火中所傳與你們的十條誡，照先前所寫的，寫在這版上，將版交給我了。
10:5 我轉身下山，將這版放在我所做的櫃中，現今還在那裡，正如耶和華所吩咐我的。」
10:6 （以色列人從比羅比尼‧亞干（或譯：亞干井）起行，到了摩西拉。亞倫死在那裡，就葬在那裡。他兒子以利亞撒接續他供祭司的職分。
10:7 他們從那裡起行，到了谷歌大，又從谷歌大到了有溪水之地的約巴他。
10:8 那時，耶和華將利未支派分別出來，抬耶和華的約櫃，又侍立在耶和華面前事奉他，奉他的名祝福，直到今日。
10:9 所以利未人在他弟兄中無分無業，耶和華是他的產業，正如耶和華─你上帝所應許他的。）
10:10 「我又像從前在山上住了四十晝夜。那次耶和華也應允我，不忍將你滅絕。
10:11 耶和華吩咐我說：『你起來引導這百姓，使他們進去得我向他們列祖起誓應許所賜之地。』」

At that time the Lord said to me, “Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones and
come up to me on the mountain. Also make a wooden ark.[a] 2 I will write on the tablets the words that were on
the first tablets, which you broke. Then you are to put them in the ark.”
3 So I made the ark out of acacia wood and chiseled out two stone
tablets like the first ones, and I went up on the mountain with the two tablets
in my hands. 4 The Lord wrote on
these tablets what he had written before, the Ten Commandments he had proclaimed
to you on the mountain, out of the fire, on the day of the assembly. And the Lord gave them to me. 5 Then I came back down the mountain and put the
tablets in the ark I had made, as the Lord commanded
me, and they are there now.6 (The Israelites traveled from the wells of Bene Jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died and was buried, and Eleazar his son succeeded him as priest. 7 From there they traveled to Gudgodah and on to Jotbathah, a land with streams of water. 8 At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister and to pronounce blessings in his name, as they still do today. 9 That is why the Levites have no share or inheritance among their fellow Israelites; the Lord is their inheritance, as the Lord your God told them.)
10 Now I had stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights, as I did the first time, and the Lord listened to me at this time also. It was not his will to destroy you. 11 “Go,” the Lord said to me, “and lead the people on their way, so that they may enter and possess the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.”

摩西再次說到「十誡」的石版，可見上帝多麼看重祂與以色列人立約的記號，也就是透過人可以明白的語言頒布祂的命令，使以色列人藉著遵行律法，來確認自己的身分以及和上帝的關係。也透過這樣的關係明白，上帝要他們進入應許之地。因為上帝吩咐摩西說：「你起來引導這百姓，使他們進去得我向他們列祖起誓應許所賜之地。」
同樣今日上帝也是透過耶穌基督的拯救，讓我們在上帝國完全實現的時候，能夠進入榮耀之帝與主耶穌一同做王，承受永不震動的國！正如保羅所說：「基督是我們的生命，他顯現的時候，你們也要與他一同顯現在榮耀裡。」（歌羅西書3:4）
因此，我們不可已失去這的盼望，這是我們跟隨主耶穌的重要動力！「大哉，敬虔的奧祕，無人不以為然！就是上帝在肉身顯現，被聖靈稱義（或譯：在靈性稱義），被天使看見，被傳於外邦，被世人信服，被接在榮耀裡。」(提摩太前書3:16)
我們都是為基督裡的榮耀而活，正如希伯來書12章2節：「仰望為我們信心創始成終的耶穌（或譯：仰望那將真道創始成終的耶穌）。他因那擺在前面的喜樂，就輕看羞辱，忍受了十字架的苦難，便坐在上帝寶座的右邊。」
