11:1 「你要愛耶和華─你的上帝，常守他的吩咐、律例、典章、誡命。
11:2 你們今日當知道，我本不是和你們的兒女說話；因為他們不知道，也沒有看見耶和華─你們上帝的管教、威嚴、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，
11:3 並他在埃及中向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神蹟奇事；
11:4 也沒有看見他怎樣待埃及的軍兵、車馬，他們追趕你們的時候，耶和華怎樣使紅海的水淹沒他們，將他們滅絕，直到今日，
11:5 並他在曠野怎樣待你們，以致你們來到這地方；
11:6 也沒有看見他怎樣待流便子孫以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭，地怎樣在以色列人中間開口，吞了他們和他們的家眷，並帳棚與跟他們的一切活物。
11:7 惟有你們親眼看見耶和華所做的一切大事。」
11:8 「所以，你們要守我今日所吩咐的一切誡命，使你們膽壯，能以進去，得你們所要得的那地，
11:9 並使你們的日子在耶和華向你們列祖起誓、應許給他們和他們後裔的地上得以長久；那是流奶與蜜之地。
11:10 你要進去得為業的那地，本不像你出來的埃及地。你在那裡撒種，用腳澆灌，像澆灌菜園一樣。
11:11 你們要過去得為業的那地乃是有山有谷、雨水滋潤之地，
11:12 是耶和華─你上帝所眷顧的；從歲首到年終，耶和華─你上帝的眼目時常看顧那地。
11:13 「你們若留意聽從我今日所吩咐的誡命，愛耶和華─你們的上帝，盡心盡性事奉他，
11:14 他（原文是我）必按時降秋雨春雨在你們的地上，使你們可以收藏五穀、新酒，和油，
11:15 也必使你吃得飽足，並使田野為你的牲畜長草。
11:16 你們要謹慎，免得心中受迷惑，就偏離正路，去事奉敬拜別神。
11:17 耶和華的怒氣向你們發作，就使天閉塞不下雨，地也不出產，使你們在耶和華所賜給你們的美地上速速滅亡。
11:18 「你們要將我這話存在心內，留在意中，繫在手上為記號，戴在額上為經文；
11:19 也要教訓你們的兒女，無論坐在家裡，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論；
11:20 又要寫在房屋的門框上，並城門上，
11:21 使你們和你們子孫的日子在耶和華向你們列祖起誓、應許給他們的地上得以增多，如天覆地的日子那樣多。
11:22 你們若留意謹守遵行我所吩咐這一切的誡命，愛耶和華─你們的上帝，行他的道，專靠他，
11:23 他必從你們面前趕出這一切國民，就是比你們更大更強的國民，你們也要得他們的地。
11:24 凡你們腳掌所踏之地都必歸你們；從曠野和黎巴嫩，並幼發拉底大河，直到西海，都要作你們的境界。
11:25 必無一人能在你們面前站立得住；耶和華─你們的上帝必照他所說的，使懼怕驚恐臨到你們所踏之地的居民。
11:26 「看哪，我今日將祝福與咒詛的話都陳明在你們面前。
11:27 你們若聽從耶和華─你們上帝的誡命，就是我今日所吩咐你們的，就必蒙福。
11:28 你們若不聽從耶和華─你們上帝的誡命，偏離我今日所吩咐你們的道，去事奉你們素來所不認識的別神，就必受禍。
11:29 及至耶和華─你的上帝領你進入要去得為業的那地，你就要將祝福的話陳明在基利心山上，將咒詛的話陳明在以巴路山上。
11:30 這二山豈不是在約旦河那邊，日落之處，在住亞拉巴的迦南人之地與吉甲相對，靠近摩利橡樹嗎？
11:31 你們要過約旦河，進去得耶和華─你們上帝所賜你們為業之地，在那地居住。
11:32 你們要謹守遵行我今日在你們面前所陳明的一切律例典章。」

11:30 這二山豈不是在約旦河那邊，日落之處，在住亞拉巴的迦南人之地與吉甲相對，靠近摩利橡樹嗎？
11:31 你們要過約旦河，進去得耶和華─你們上帝所賜你們為業之地，在那地居住。
11:32 你們要謹守遵行我今日在你們面前所陳明的一切律例典章。」
Love the Lord your God and keep his requirements, his decrees,
his laws and his commands always. 2 Remember today that your
children were not the ones who saw and experienced the discipline of the Lord your God: his majesty, his mighty hand, his outstretched arm;
3 the signs he performed
and the things he did in the heart of Egypt, both to Pharaoh king of Egypt and
to his whole country; 4 what
he did to the Egyptian army, to its horses and chariots, how he overwhelmed
them with the waters of the Red Sea[a] as they were pursuing you, and how the Lord brought lasting ruin on them. 5 It was not your children who saw what he did for
you in the wilderness until you arrived at this place, 6 and what he did to Dathan and
Abiram, sons of Eliab the Reubenite, when the earth opened its mouth right in
the middle of all Israel and swallowed them up with their households, their
tents and every living thing that belonged to them. 7 But it was your own eyes that
saw all these great things the Lord has done.
8 Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that
you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing
the Jordan to possess, 9 and so that you may live long in the land the Lord swore to your ancestors to give to them and their descendants, a
land flowing with milk and honey. 10 The land you are entering to take over is not like
the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and
irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. 11 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take
possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven.
12 It is a land the Lord your God cares for; the eyes of the Lord your God
are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.13 So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today—to love the Lord your God and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul— 14 then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains, so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and olive oil. 15 I will provide grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will eat and be satisfied.
16 Be careful, or you will be enticed to turn away and worship other gods and bow down to them. 17 Then the Lord’s anger will burn against you, and he will shut up the heavens so that it will not rain and the ground will yield no produce, and you will soon perish from the good land the Lord is giving you. 18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
22 If you carefully observe all these commands I am giving you to follow—to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him and to hold fast to him— 23 then the Lord will drive out all these nations before you, and you will dispossess nations larger and stronger than you. 24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. 25 No one will be able to stand against you. The Lord your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go.
26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known. 29 When the Lord your God has brought you into the land you are entering to possess, you are to proclaim on Mount Gerizim the blessings, and on Mount Ebal the curses. 30 As you know, these mountains are across the Jordan, westward, toward the setting sun, near the great trees of Moreh, in the territory of those Canaanites living in the Arabah in the vicinity of Gilgal. 31 You are about to cross the Jordan to enter and take possession of the land the Lord your God is giving you. When you have taken it over and are living there, 32 be sure that you obey all the decrees and laws I am setting before you today.

在信仰的生命過程中，經歷是很重要且必要的，正如摩西帶領出埃及的這一群百姓，雖然第一代已經暴斃在曠野之中，但是第二代卻是看在眼裡，正如摩西在這裡說：「你們今日當知道，我本不是和你們的兒女說話；因為他們不知道，也沒有看見耶和華─你們上帝的管教、威嚴、大能的手，和伸出來的膀臂，並他在埃及中向埃及王法老和其全地所行的神蹟奇事；也沒有看見他怎樣待埃及的軍兵、車馬，他們追趕你們的時候，耶和華怎樣使紅海的水淹沒他們，將他們滅絕，直到今日，並他在曠野怎樣待你們，以致你們來到這地方；也沒有看見他怎樣待流便子孫以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭，地怎樣在以色列人中間開口，吞了他們和他們的家眷，並帳棚與跟他們的一切活物。惟有你們親眼看見耶和華所做的一切大事。」
也因為這樣的基礎，摩西可以向他們說明上帝與他們之間的關係為何！這是第三代的人所沒有經歷過的，也因此摩西在這裡說：「你們要將我這話存在心內，留在意中，繫在手上為記號，戴在額上為經文；也要教訓你們的兒女，無論坐在家裡，行在路上，躺下，起來，都要談論；又要寫在房屋的門框上，並城門上，使你們和你們子孫的日子在耶和華向你們列祖起誓、應許給他們的地上得以增多，如天覆地的日子那樣多。」
因此，我們不僅要有經歷，更要有上帝的話！若沒有上帝的話，我們的經歷是毫無意義的，就如風中之塵，最後終要歸於無有！我們要透過上帝的話，才能尋找到經歷的意義，如此我們才能進入上帝的應許之地！正如摩西所說：「所以，你們要守我今日所吩咐的一切誡命，使你們膽壯，能以進去，得你們所要得的那地，並使你們的日子在耶和華向你們列祖起誓、應許給他們和他們後裔的地上得以長久；那是流奶與蜜之地。」
上帝給以色列人應許的迦南地，也是預表基督要應許給我們的上帝的國，這是永遠的地土，勝過迦南地千千萬萬倍！你若是要得著就必須透過信靠主耶穌，這是上帝對你的呼召：透過主耶穌與上帝建立合宜的關係，成為上帝的兒女！記是兒女就是後嗣，就可以承受上帝的國到永遠！
