55:3 都因仇敵的聲音，惡人的欺壓；因為他們將罪孽加在我身上，發怒氣逼迫我。
55:4 我心在我裡面甚是疼痛；死的驚惶臨到我身。
55:5 恐懼戰兢歸到我身；驚恐漫過了我。
55:6 我說：但願我有翅膀像鴿子，我就飛去，得享安息。

55:21 他的口如奶油光滑，他的心卻懷著爭戰；他的話比油柔和，其實是拔出來的刀。
55:22 你要把你的重擔卸給耶和華，他必撫養你；他永不叫義人動搖。

大衛一生受到許多的苦難，就像主耶穌在世上長受苦難一般！苦難似乎是沒有一個人喜歡，但是在苦難中人卻與上帝更親近，並且得到上帝的安慰，所以保羅說：「我們在一切患難中，他就安慰我們，叫我們能用上帝所賜的安慰去安慰那遭各樣患難的人。」（哥林多後書1:7）
然而大衛在這受詩中說到被好友背叛的遭遇：「原來不是仇敵辱罵我，若是仇敵，還可忍耐；也不是恨我的人向我狂大，若是恨我的人就必躲避他。不料是你；你原與我平等，是我的同伴，是我知己的朋友！我們素常彼此談論，以為甘甜；我們與群眾在上帝的殿中同行。」
主耶穌在十字架上所受的苦不只是身體，更是心靈上的苦，甚至覺得自己不僅被門徒棄絕，更是被上帝棄絕，祂呼喊：「以利！以利！拉馬撒巴各大尼？」就是說：「我的上帝！我的上帝！為甚麼離棄我？」
相信我們在絕望中，看不見上帝的拯救時，也會像主耶穌一樣的呼喊！這是正常的反應，我們也要勇敢這樣的表達，正如主耶穌的呼喊！但是，上帝的希望要出現在我們絕望之後，必定讓我們感受得到的！
