希伯來書7:11-17


7:11 從前百姓在利未人祭司職任以下受律法,倘若藉這職任能得完全,又何用另外興起一位祭司,照麥基洗德的等次,不照亞倫的等次呢?
7:12
祭司的職任既已更改,律法也必須更改。
7:13
因為這話所指的人本屬別的支派,那支派裡從來沒有一人伺候祭壇。
7:14
我們的主分明是從猶大出來的;但這支派,摩西並沒有提到祭司。
7:15
倘若照麥基洗德的樣式,另外興起一位祭司來,我的話更是顯而易見的了。
7:16
他成為祭司,並不是照屬肉體的條例,乃是照無窮(原文是不能毀壞)之生命的大能。
7:17
因為有給他作見證的說:「你是照著麥基洗德的等次永遠為祭司。」

11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. 13 He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. 14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15 And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, 16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is declared:
“You are a priest forever,
    in the order of Melchizedek.”

    主耶穌雖然不是從擔任祭司的利未支派出來,是從沒有人擔任過祭司的猶大支派出來。但是,上帝卻是賦予祂是麥基洗德的等次永遠為祭司的職分所以,祂可以如祭司一樣,在上帝面前獻上永遠的祭,勝過律法所獻暫時的祭。而主耶穌所獻的祭物是什麼呢?就是上帝所賜給祂的肉身。因一次的獻上,成就永遠的功效!從此以後,不必在獻上其他牛羊之類的祭物了!

    希伯來書更在這裡宣告:「他成為祭司,並不是照屬肉體的條例,乃是照無窮乃是照無窮(原文是不能毀壞)之生命的大能。也因為這樣,祂所獻的祭,也因著這無窮的生命大能,使凡奉主耶穌的名受洗的人,也與祂一般也領受了勝過律法的麥基洗德等級之祭司職分。使我們不只為祭司,也有君王的身分,讓公義和平安在我們生命中為王,我們也為公義和平安的王群。

    因此,基督的救恩是突破律法的限制,超越律法的轄制,讓耶穌基督大能的生命運行在我們中間,充滿著基督的榮耀,展現上帝的同在之榮光!
