使徒行傳10:34-48

10:34 彼得就開口說：「我真看出上帝是不偏待人。
10:35 原來，各國中那敬畏主、行義的人都為主所悅納。
10:36 上帝藉著耶穌基督（他是萬有的主）傳和平的福音，將這道賜給以色列人。
10:37 這話在約翰宣傳洗禮以後，從加利利起，傳遍了猶太。
10:38 上帝怎樣以聖靈和能力膏拿撒勒人耶穌，這都是你們知道的。他周流四方，行善事，醫好凡被魔鬼壓制的人，因為上帝與他同在。
10:39 他在猶太人之地，並耶路撒冷所行的一切事，有我們作見證。他們竟把他掛在木頭上殺了。
10:40 第三日，上帝叫他復活，顯現出來；
10:41 不是顯現給眾人看，乃是顯現給上帝預先所揀選為他作見證的人看，就是我們這些在他從死裡復活以後和他同吃同喝的人。
10:42 他吩咐我們傳道給眾人，證明他是上帝所立定的，要作審判活人、死人的主。
10:43 眾先知也為他作見證說：『凡信他的人必因他的名得蒙赦罪。』」
10:44 彼得還說這話的時候，聖靈降在一切聽道的人身上。
10:45 那些奉割禮、和彼得同來的信徒，見聖靈的恩賜也澆在外邦人身上，就都希奇；
10:46 因聽見他們說方言，稱讚上帝為大。
10:47 於是彼得說：「這些人既受了聖靈，與我們一樣，誰能禁止用水給他們施洗呢？」
10:48 就吩咐奉耶穌基督的名給他們施洗。他們又請彼得住了幾天。

 

³⁴ Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism ³⁵ but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. ³⁶ You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. ³⁷ You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached— ³⁸ how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

³⁹ “We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, ⁴⁰ but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. ⁴¹ He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen—by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. ⁴² He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. ⁴³ All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.”

⁴⁴ While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. ⁴⁵ The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. ⁴⁶ For they heard them speaking in tongues^[b] and praising God.

Then Peter said, ⁴⁷ “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” ⁴⁸ So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

    彼得和那些同來的猶大基督徒，在這裡感受到讓他們跌破眼鏡的事：就是這些外邦人，竟然聽見福音之後，就馬上有聖靈在他們的身上動工，使他們說方言，稱讚上帝為大。

 

    這樣的情景比看見所謂的神蹟奇事發生還震撼，上帝竟然能讓這些被猶太人看不起的外邦人，有得救的現象產生！讓人感受到這真是上帝的工作，不是彼得講到講得很好，這是上帝超然的工作，事上帝使人得救！

 

    於是彼得說：「這些人既受了聖靈，與我們一樣，誰能禁止用水給他們施洗呢？」就吩咐奉耶穌基督的名給他們施洗！

 

    這也告訴我們：「我不以福音為恥；這福音本是上帝的大能，要救一切相信的，先是猶太人，後是希臘人。」(羅馬書1:16)

 

    因此，我們不可以為自己傳福音令人歸主而誇口，這本是上帝奇妙的作為！
