箴言20:25

人冒失說，這是聖物，許願之後才查問，就是自陷網羅。

It is a trap to dedicate something rashly
    and only later to consider one’s vows.

    《現代中文譯本》翻成：「向上帝許願前必須三思，以免後來懊悔。」

    這也告訴我們對上帝的承諾要謹慎，因為上帝是永不改變的上帝，所以我們對他的承諾也是永不改變！所以，《現代中文譯本》的翻譯提醒我們既然向上帝許願，就不要反悔，再大的代價也要擺上！

    就像許願成為上帝的傳道人，就要想到一生會顛沛流離，一生會困苦潦倒，不是什麼都很豐富，並且要受許多苦難，被人藐視與不齒，願意來走這條路嗎？

歌羅西書3:18-25

3:18 你們作妻子的，當順服自己的丈夫，這在主裡面是相宜的。
3:19 你們作丈夫的，要愛你們的妻子，不可苦待她們。
3:20 你們作兒女的，要凡事聽從父母，因為這是主所喜悅的。
3:21 你們作父親的，不要惹兒女的氣，恐怕他們失了志氣。
3:22 你們作僕人的，要凡事聽從你們肉身的主人，不要只在眼前事奉，像是討人喜歡的，總要存心誠實敬畏主。
3:23 無論做甚麼，都要從心裡做，像是給主做的，不是給人做的，
3:24 因你們知道從主那裡必得著基業為賞賜；你們所事奉的乃是主基督。
3:25 那行不義的必受不義的報應；主並不偏待人。

¹⁸ Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
¹⁹ Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
²⁰ Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
²¹ Fathers,^[c] do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.
²² Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. ²³ Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, ²⁴ since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. ²⁵ Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism.

    保羅在此說到做人處世的基本原則：「無論做甚麼，都要從心裡做，像是給主做的，不是給人做的，因你們知道從主那裡必得著基業為賞賜；你們所事奉的乃是主基督。」

    這是一個很好的提醒，因為我們是事奉上基督的人，不是討人喜歡的人，做任何事都是為了讓基督喜悅，不是為了自己的好處！若基督不喜悅，再多的利益也是沒有益處的！因為「那行不義的必受不義的報應；主並不偏待人」。尤其我們是基督徒，更是要活出討主喜悅的生命！

    因此，我們不要以為自己是基督徒就任意妄為，反倒是要靠主，學習如何服事人，使人因我們的服事感受到上帝的恩典和耶穌基督得拯救，被上帝的愛感動而歸向主，將榮耀歸給上帝！

歌羅西書3:12-17

3:12 所以，你們既是上帝的選民，聖潔蒙愛的人，就要存（原文是穿；下同）憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔、忍耐的心。
3:13 倘若這人與那人有嫌隙，總要彼此包容，彼此饒恕；主怎樣饒恕了你們，你們也要怎樣饒恕人。
3:14 在這一切之外，要存著愛心，愛心就是聯絡全德的。
3:15 又要叫基督的平安在你們心裡作主；你們也為此蒙召，歸為一體；且要存感謝的心。
3:16 當用各樣的智慧，把基督的道理豐豐富富地存在心裡（或譯：當把基督的道理豐豐富富地存在心裡，以各樣的智慧），用詩章、頌詞、靈歌，彼此教導，互相勸戒，心被恩感，歌頌上帝。
3:17 無論做甚麼，或說話或行事，都要奉主耶穌的名，藉著他感謝父上帝。

¹² Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ¹³ Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. ¹⁴ And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
¹⁵ Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. ¹⁶ Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. ¹⁷ And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

    保羅在此教導我們教會生活，要我們屬基督的人要存「憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔、忍耐的心」，也就是要以此為我們的外表，因為我們是穿上新人，這些是屬基督的新人要有的表現，因為我們事聖潔蒙愛的子民！

    不僅如此還要「彼此包容，彼此饒恕」、「存著愛心」、「叫基督的平安在我們心裡作主」、「要存感謝的心」、「用各樣的智慧，把基督的道理豐豐富富地存在心裡」、「用詩章、頌詞、靈歌，彼此教導，互相勸戒，心被恩感，歌頌上帝」、「奉主耶穌的名，藉著他感謝父上帝」！

    這些不是律法，與基督同死同活之後自然的表現！這是，基督徒自然的生命流露！是用來自我衡量，顯明自己是基督的門徒用的！

歌羅西書3:5-11

3:5 所以，要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）。
3:6 因這些事，上帝的忿怒必臨到那悖逆之子。
3:7 當你們在這些事中活著的時候，也曾這樣行過。
3:8 但現在你們要棄絕這一切的事，以及惱恨、忿怒、惡毒（或譯：陰毒）、毀謗，並口中污穢的言語。
3:9 不要彼此說謊；因你們已經脫去舊人和舊人的行為，
3:10 穿上了新人。這新人在知識上漸漸更新，正如造他主的形像。
3:11 在此並不分希臘人、猶太人，受割禮的、未受割禮的，化外人、西古提人，為奴的、自主的，惟有基督是包括一切，又住在各人之內。

⁵ Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. ⁶ Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.^{[b] 7} You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. ⁸ But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. ⁹ Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices ¹⁰ and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. ¹¹ Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

    保羅在此告訴歌羅西教會信徒，「要治死你們在地上的肢體，就如淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾，和貪婪（貪婪就與拜偶像一樣）」、「要棄絕這一切的事，以及惱恨、忿怒、惡毒（或譯：陰毒）、毀謗，並口中污穢的言語」、「不要彼此說謊；因你們已經脫去舊人和舊人的行為，穿上了新人。」

    這一切都是生命得更新：使人脫去過去有罪的舊人，穿上新人！而穿上新人後，不是停止在那裡，要繼續認是耶穌基督，正如保羅在這裡說：「這新人在知識上漸漸更新，正如造他主的形像。在此並不分希臘人、猶太人，受割禮的、未受割禮的，化外人、西古提人，為奴的、自主的，惟有基督是包括一切，又住在各人之內。」

    因此，基督徒經歷生命的更新，也要有「治死」和「棄絕」的行動和意志，來表明自己是已經在基督裡「同死同活」！
