啟示錄18:11-14

18:11 地上的客商也都為她哭泣悲哀，因為沒有人再買他們的貨物了；

18:12 這貨物就是金、銀、寶石、珍珠、細麻布、紫色料、綢子、朱紅色料、各樣香木、各樣象牙的器皿、各樣極寶貴的木頭，和銅、鐵、漢白玉的器皿，

18:13 並肉桂、荳蔻、香料、香膏、乳香、酒、油、細麵、麥子、牛、羊、車、馬，和奴僕、人口。

18:14 巴比倫哪，你所貪愛的果子離開了你；你一切的珍饈美味和華美的物件也從你中間毀滅，決不能再見了。

And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn for her, since no one buys their cargo anymore, cargo of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, fine linen, purple cloth, silk, scarlet cloth, all kinds of scented wood, all kinds of articles of ivory, all kinds of articles of costly wood, bronze, iron and marble, cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, frankincense, wine, oil, fine flour, wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and slaves, that is, human souls.

"The fruit for which your soul longed

has gone from you,

and all your delicacies and your splendors

are lost to you,

never to be found again!"

    商業鼎盛常常是造成道德敗壞的原因，因為恣意的消費與生產，造成許多的浪費，也造成人驕傲的心，甚至使人覺得金錢是萬能的，以至於不再敬畏上帝了，只有拜金主義！

    然而人常常在拜金之時，賠上自己的生命！多還要多，好還要好，永遠沒有滿足的時候。這也是為甚麼說到貪財，是拜偶像，是萬惡之源！因為許多人為了錢財，甚麼是都做得出來，甚至將自己賣了都可！

    這些將來都要面臨上帝的審判，豈可不注意！尤其是基督徒，絕對不可讓錢財，取代上帝！

啟示錄18:9-10

18:9 地上的君王，素來與她行淫、一同奢華的，看見燒她的煙，就必為她哭泣哀號。

18:10 因怕她的痛苦，就遠遠地站著說：哀哉！哀哉！巴比倫大城，堅固的城啊，一時之間你的刑罰就來到了。

And the kings of the earth, who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her, will weep and wail over her when they see the smoke of her burning. They will stand far off, in fear of her torment, and say,

"Alas! Alas! You great city,

you mighty city, Babylon!

For in a single hour your judgment has come."

    在這看見世人的心：有福一起享，有難自己當！

    因為罪性使人成為自私的人，使人沒有憐憫的心腸，凡事只為自己想，不會替別人著想。有人以為這是很正常的情形，但是這卻是造成人與人之間紛爭與疏離之重要原因，甚至關係破裂。這更是世界充滿兇殺、戰爭之重要原因。

    然而上帝造人時是要人彼此相愛，有和睦的關係。所以需要透過上帝的救贖完成時，人才有真正的和平。而先前人彼此造成的傷害，只有透過耶穌基督在十字架上的死，才能讓彼此之間的冤仇真正平息。因為加害者必須還給受害者的代價，也是受害者必須願意原諒加害者的原因。耶穌基督的十字架是完成公義要求，所必要之因素。

啟示錄18:4-8

18:4 我又聽見從天上有聲音說：我的民哪，你們要從那城出來，免得與她一同有罪，受她所受的災殃；

18:5 因她的罪惡滔天；她的不義，上帝已經想起來了。

18:6 她怎樣待人，也要怎樣待她，按她所行的加倍地報應她；用她調酒的杯加倍地調給她喝。

18:7 她怎樣榮耀自己，怎樣奢華，也當叫她照樣痛苦悲哀，因她心裡說：我坐了皇后的位，並不是寡婦，決不至於悲哀。

18:8 所以在一天之內，她的災殃要一齊來到，就是死亡、悲哀、饑荒。她又要被火燒盡了，因為審判她的主上帝大有能力。

Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

 "Come out of her, my people,

lest you take part in her sins,

lest you share in her plagues;

for her sins are heaped high as heaven,

and God has remembered her iniquities.

Pay her back as she herself has paid back others,

and repay her double for her deeds;

mix a double portion for her in the cup she mixed.

As she glorified herself and lived in luxury,

so give her a like measure of torment and mourning,

since in her heart she says,

 'I sit as a queen,

I am no widow,

and mourning I shall never see. '

For this reason her plagues will come in a single day,

death and mourning and famine,

and she will be burned up with fire;

for mighty is the Lord God who has judged her."

    看到這段經文讓我們想起，「有人對作惡的人一直還很亨通，心中以為上帝忘記了」！

 

    這好像上帝回答是人的話：「因她的罪惡滔天；她的不義，上帝已經想起來了。」

    的確，心中最大的疑問就是：「善有善報，惡有惡報，為何上帝不報呢！」

    這裡告訴我們上帝必定會報的，並且嚴嚴得報！上帝自然會有其作為，祂是大有能力的上帝，祂必定成就祂的公義，好使祂的名得榮耀，正是彰顯祂拯救世人的慈愛！

啟示錄18章

啟示錄18:1-3

18:1 此後，我看見另有一位有大權柄的天使從天降下，地就因他的榮耀發光。

18:2 他大聲喊著說：巴比倫大城傾倒了！傾倒了！成了鬼魔的住處和各樣污穢之靈的巢穴（或譯：牢獄；下同），並各樣污穢可憎之雀鳥的巢穴。

18:3 因為列國都被她邪淫大怒的酒傾倒了。地上的君王與她行淫；地上的客商因她奢華太過就發了財。

After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was made bright with his glory. And he called out with a mighty voice,

 "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great!

She has become a dwelling place for demons,

a haunt for every unclean spirit,

a haunt for every unclean bird,

a haunt for every unclean and detestable beast.

For all nations have drunk

 the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality,

and the kings of the earth have committed immorality with her,

and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the power of her luxurious living."

    基督信仰要面對是現實的人性，雖然信耶穌得永生，但是要的上帝所賜的永生，人必須從罪惡中被拯救出來。然而可悲的是，人的肉身尚未斷氣以前，人都不能完全脫離罪的影響力，這也是為什麼教會中雖然是一群得救的人，教會仍然有需多問題。

    教會是如此，世界更是如此，尤其是越強盛的國家，中間充滿著更多的敗壞。因為人越覺得自己能，就越驕傲，越不敬畏上帝，罪性就越彰顯，罪刑就表現出來。正如歐洲人經過文藝復興時期，自以為自己很有辦法，就提出「人已經夠成熟、夠長成，不需要再信靠上帝」的看法，於是就有啟蒙主義發生，也因為如此歐洲就開始走向「不需要基督教的約束，人也會有好的道德」的思潮。但是事實上並非如此，從此以後反而是社會更多的混亂，更彰顯出犯罪以後的惡！

    正如今天我看見世界最強盛的國，就是反基督最強烈的國！因為人都想自立自己的名，來超越上帝的名。而國更是眾人意志的集中，更是如此。也因為這樣，基督徒在世上的生活，是受到惡勢力的壓迫，因為我們推崇基督的明來榮耀上帝，是與世界的思潮相牴觸的！也因此，聖徒要隨時預備為信仰爭戰，靠主站立得穩！
