2:5 我們所說將來的世界,上帝原沒有交給天使管轄。
2:6 但有人在經上某處證明說:人算甚麼,你竟顧念他?世人算甚麼,你竟眷顧他?
2:7 你叫他比天使微小一點(或譯:你叫他暫時比天使小),賜他榮耀尊貴為冠冕,並將你手所造的都派他管理,
2:8 叫萬物都服在他的腳下。既叫萬物都服他,就沒有剩下一樣不服他的。只是如今我們還不見萬物都服他。
2:9 惟獨見那成為比天使小一點的耶穌(或譯:惟獨見耶穌暫時比天使小);因為受死的苦,就得了尊貴榮耀為冠冕,叫他因著上帝的恩,為人人嘗了死味。
It is not to angels that he has subjected
the world to come, about which we are speaking. But there is a place where
someone has testified:
“What is mankind that you are mindful of
them,
a
son of man that you care for him?
You made them a little lower than the
angels;
you crowned them with glory and honor
and put everything under their feet.”
In putting everything under them,[d] God
left nothing that is not subject to them. Yet at present we do not see
everything subject to them. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the
angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered
death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

這裡讓我們認識到:耶穌受死的苦,就得了尊貴榮耀為冠冕,叫祂因著上帝的恩,為人人嘗了死味。
可見耶穌的死,是為要完成上帝拯救的旨意。若耶穌沒有死在十字架上,那上帝的贖罪祭就不成立,我們就無法得到上帝的赦免與接納。但是,耶穌真的為我們受苦而死,為我們罪付上完美的代價,也唯有這個代價,才能真正滿足上帝的心。
也因為如此,祂得著上帝的肯定,就得了尊貴榮耀為冠冕。我們也就靠耶穌所付出的,也被上帝稱為義,被上帝接納為兒女,而有真正的自由,因為我們已從罪中被釋放,不再被定罪了!
