何西阿書5:13-15

5:13 以法蓮見自己有病，猶大見自己有傷，他們就打發人往亞述去見耶雷布王，他卻不能醫治你們，不能治好你們的傷。

5:14 我必向以法蓮如獅子，向猶大家如少壯獅子。我必撕裂而去，我要奪去，無人搭救。

5:15 我要回到原處，等他們自覺有罪（或譯：承認己罪），尋求我面；他們在急難的時候必切切尋求我。

When Ephraim saw his sickness,

and Judah his wound,

then Ephraim went to Assyria,

and sent to the great king.

But he is not able to cure you

or heal your wound.

  For I will be like a lion to Ephraim,

and like a young lion to the house of Judah.

I, even I, will tear and go away;

I will carry off, and no one shall rescue.

  I will return again to my place,

until they acknowledge their guilt and seek my face,

and in their distress earnestly seek me.

    從以法蓮和猶大的表現，讓我們感受到人是軟弱的，常常想藉由強權來支持自己，但是這無效的！人真正的倚靠是上帝，而非國王！

    詩篇118篇8-9節說：「投靠耶和華，強似倚賴人；投靠耶和華，強似倚賴王子。」

    保羅也勉勵以弗所教會信徒說：「我還有末了的話：你們要靠著主，倚賴他的大能大力作剛強的人。」(弗6:10)

    求主幫助，讓我們可以好好倚靠上帝！
