26:7 主耶和華如此說：「我必使諸王之王的巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領馬匹車輛、馬兵、軍隊，和許多人民從北方來攻擊你泰爾。
26:8 他必用刀劍殺滅屬你城邑的居民，也必造臺築壘舉盾牌攻擊你。
26:9 他必安設撞城錘攻破你的牆垣，用鐵器拆毀你的城樓。
26:10 因他的馬匹眾多，塵土揚起遮蔽你。他進入你的城門，好像人進入已有破口之城。那時，你的牆垣必因騎馬的和戰車、輜重車的響聲震動。
26:11 他的馬蹄必踐踏你一切的街道，他必用刀殺戮你的居民；你堅固的柱子（或譯：柱像）必倒在地上。
26:12 人必以你的財寶為擄物，以你的貨財為掠物，破壞你的牆垣，拆毀你華美的房屋，將你的石頭、木頭、塵土都拋在水中。
26:13 我必使你唱歌的聲音止息，人也不再聽見你彈琴的聲音。
26:14 我必使你成為淨光的磐石，作曬網的地方；你不得再被建造，因為這是主耶和華說的。」
7 "For thus says the Lord God: Behold,
I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king
of kings, with horses and chariots, and with horsemen and a host of many
soldiers. 8 He will kill with the sword your daughters on the mainland. He will
set up a siege wall against you and throw up a mound against you, and raise a
roof of shields against you. 9 He will direct the shock of his battering rams
against your walls, and with his axes he will break down your towers. 10 His
horses will be so many that their dust will cover you. Your walls will shake at
the noise of the horsemen and wagons and chariots, when he enters your gates as
men enter a city that has been breached. 11 With the hoofs of his horses he
will trample all your streets. He will kill your people with the sword, and
your mighty pillars will fall to the ground. 12 They will plunder your riches
and loot your merchandise. They will break down your walls and destroy your
pleasant houses. Your stones and timber and soil they will cast into the midst
of the waters. 13 And I will stop the music of your songs, and the sound of
your lyres shall be heard no more. 14 I will make you a bare rock. You shall be
a place for the spreading of nets. You shall never be rebuilt, for I am the Lord;
I have spoken, declares the Lord God.

許多學者注意到此處所說的似乎是對泰爾陸地部份的攻擊。使用的都是陸軍而沒提到海軍。事實上尼布甲尼撒王主要也是摧毀了泰爾陸地部份的城邑。
西元前333年亞歷山大攻擊泰爾時就如先知所記，用陸地城市的建材作成堤壩攻擊推羅海島部份而獲勝，消滅泰爾。13節之唱歌與彈琴都是娛樂、休閒之用。上帝要讓這種泰爾城中富有商人的娛樂停止，讓泰爾完全被毀滅。
這也再一次說明：人沒有上帝為主為王，他的豐盛只是一時，不能長久，人要永遠長存，僅能靠上帝的拯救！而上帝以在基督裡預備永恆了，只有信靠耶穌才有永生，這是上帝美好的應許，你領受了嗎？
