耶利米書5:18-19

5:18 耶和華說：「就是到那時，我也不將你們毀滅淨盡。

5:19 百姓若說：『耶和華─我們的上帝為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄耶和華（原文是我），在你們的地上事奉外邦神，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外邦人。』」

“But even in those days, declares the Lord, I will not make a full end of you.  And when your people say, Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ you shall say to them, ‘As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve foreigners in a land that is not yours.’”

    這是上帝透過先知給猶大百姓的警告，尤其是『你們怎樣離棄耶和華（原文是我），在你們的地上事奉外邦神，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外邦人。』這句話，讓我們現在讀起來心中感觸良多！以色列和猶大的命運，真的像這句話所說，他們不事奉耶和華上帝，去事奉外邦的神，就流落在外邦如同奴隸一般了，去事奉外邦的人。

    這也是對我們屬上帝的人一個很重要的警戒，我們若離開上帝去隨從世人的追求，我們必落入被人輕視的狀態。因為，世人會認為我們對信仰中心都不重視，這樣的人還有什麼可取之處呢？

    然而，上帝並不會離棄我們，只要我們肯回頭，再次尊主為大，上帝會重新使我們再次受到祂的眷顧和保守，因為祂的慈愛永不改變！

耶利米書5:14-17

5:14 所以耶和華─萬軍之上帝如此說：因為百姓說這話，我必使我的話在你口中為火，使他們為柴；這火便將他們燒滅。

5:15 耶和華說：以色列家啊，我必使一國的民從遠方來攻擊你，是強盛的國，是從古而有的國。他們的言語你不曉得，他們的話你不明白。

5:16 他們的箭袋是敞開的墳墓；他們都是勇士。

5:17 他們必吃盡你的莊稼和你的糧食，是你兒女該吃的；必吃盡你的牛羊，吃盡你的葡萄和無花果；又必用刀毀壞你所倚靠的堅固城。

Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of hosts:

“Because you have spoken this word,

behold, I am making my words in your mouth a fire,

and this people wood, and the fire shall consume them.

  Behold, I am bringing against you

a nation from afar, O house of Israel,

declares the Lord.

It is an enduring nation;

it is an ancient nation,

a nation whose language you do not know,

nor can you understand what they say.

  Their quiver is like an open tomb;

they are all mighty warriors.

  They shall eat up your harvest and your food;

they shall eat up your sons and your daughters;

they shall eat up your flocks and your herds;

they shall eat up your vines and your fig trees;

your fortified cities in which you trust

they shall beat down with the sword.”

    先知在此宣告上帝的心意，因為猶大的人民不敬畏上帝，所以上帝要透過遠方的國家來侵略，來懲治他們，好使他們可以知道上帝的權能，進而順福上帝，不再悖逆！

    其實上帝雖然不喜歡我們受到懲罰，但是祂卻藉由這些來提醒祂的子民，使他們回頭尋求上帝的幫助，進而脫離罪惡的誘惑與影響，可以歸向上帝，成為上帝所喜悅的子民。

    因此，我們遇到管教時，要趕快藉由耶穌基督來回到上帝面前，祂不永遠懷怒，祂盼望我們悔改歸向祂，我們要快快在祂面前認罪，並求耶穌基督的寶血洗淨我們的罪汙，成為聖潔蒙愛的兒女。

耶利米書5:10-13

5:10 你們要上她葡萄園的牆施行毀壞，但不可毀壞淨盡，只可除掉她的枝子，因為不屬耶和華。

5:11 原來以色列家和猶大家大行詭詐攻擊我。這是耶和華說的。

5:12 他們不認耶和華，說：這並不是他，災禍必不臨到我們；刀劍和饑荒，我們也看不見。

5:13 先知的話必成為風；道也不在他們裡面。這災必臨到他們身上。

“Go up through her vine rows and destroy,

but make not a full end;

strip away her branches,

for they are not the Lord's.

  For the house of Israel and the house of Judah

have been utterly treacherous to me,

declares the Lord.

  They have spoken falsely of the Lord

and have said, ‘He will do nothing;

no disaster will come upon us,

nor shall we see sword or famine.

  The prophets will become wind;

the word is not in them.

Thus shall it be done to them!’”

    先知在此說了一個危險的狀態就是：「先知的話必成為風；道也不在他們裡面。」

    這也是以色列及猶大不敬畏上帝的原因，他們不將先知和上帝的話語當作一回事。以為先知的話只是說說罷了，不相信這上帝要它們宣告的，以至於繼續我行我素，導致後來遭受到上帝的懲罰。

    今日教會有聖經可讀，有傳道人述說上帝的話。若是不將傳道者和聖經的話當一回事，自以為有善行就會蒙上帝拯救，這就大錯特錯了！因為聖經和傳道人的話，都宣告人要靠耶穌基督來得拯救，不是靠善行，是靠上帝的恩典！

    若人自以為是，捨棄上帝的恩典，單靠自己的善行，那就等於否認上帝的拯救，最後必定沉淪的，因為人否定了上帝的拯救，下場是很可怕的！

耶利米書5:7-9

5:7 我怎能赦免你呢？你的兒女離棄我，又指著那不是神的起誓。我使他們飽足，他們就行姦淫，成群地聚集在娼妓家裡。

5:8 他們像餵飽的馬到處亂跑，各向他鄰舍的妻發嘶聲。

5:9 耶和華說：我豈不因這些事討罪呢？豈不報復這樣的國民呢？

“How can I pardon you?

Your children have forsaken me

and have sworn by those who are no gods.

When I fed them to the full,

they committed adultery

and trooped to the houses of whores.

  They were well-fed, lusty stallions,

each neighing for his neighbor's wife.

  Shall I not punish them for these things?

declares the Lord;

and shall I not avenge myself

on a nation such as this?

    上帝用人對婚姻的不忠的淫亂，來說明猶大人和上帝關係。因為猶太人為了自保，和其他的國家交流之後，也把外國的神帶到猶大來，造成他們的信仰混亂，沒有單單事奉上帝，來敬拜別神，「指著那不是神的起誓」！

    他們還對別的神熱心，上帝形容他們為「馬到處亂跑，各向他鄰舍的妻發嘶聲」。所以上帝對他們說：「我豈不因這些事討罪呢？豈不報復這樣的國民呢？」

    從先知這樣宣告，我們知道上帝為了我們的益處，要我們遠離拜偶像的罪惡，透過耶穌基督使上帝和人重新和好，好使我們不再行在罪惡中，在上帝的光明中行，這樣我們就在上帝的保守下得到永生，不致滅亡！
