3:1 他對我說：「人子啊，要吃你所得的，要吃這書卷，好去對以色列家講說。」
3:2 於是我開口，他就使我吃這書卷，
3:3 又對我說：「人子啊，要吃我所賜給你的這書卷，充滿你的肚腹。」我就吃了，口中覺得其甜如蜜。
1 And he said to me, "Son of man, eat
whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of
Israel." 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me this scroll to eat. 3 And
he said to me, "Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give
you and fill your stomach with it." Then I ate it, and it was in my mouth
as sweet as honey.

重複兩次先知吃書卷的記載，不過第2節重點是吃的方式：以西結負責開口，上帝負責讓他吃。第3節重點是吃了的感受：甜如蜜。書卷上寫了哀號、歎息、悲痛的話，吃下去卻是相反的甜蜜經驗。
可見我們要以吃東西的方式來領受上帝的話，因為聖經是我們生命的糧，使我們屬靈的生命得著餵養，好使我們可以得著飽足。也唯有領受上帝的話，才有能力是奉上帝。
不過很有意思的事，他吃了那書卷，口中覺得其甜如蜜。其實我們要以讀聖經為快樂的事，好使心中充滿上帝的話為滿足。
