出埃及記34:10-28

34:10 耶和華說：「我要立約，要在百姓面前行奇妙的事，是在遍地萬國中所未曾行的。在你四圍的外邦人就要看見耶和華的作為，因我向你所行的是可畏懼的事。
34:11 「我今天所吩咐你的，你要謹守。我要從你面前攆出亞摩利人、迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。
34:12 你要謹慎，不可與你所去那地的居民立約，恐怕成為你們中間的網羅；
34:13 卻要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍下他們的木偶。
34:14 不可敬拜別神；因為耶和華是忌邪的上帝，名為忌邪者。
34:15 只怕你與那地的居民立約，百姓隨從他們的上帝，就行邪淫，祭祀他們的神，有人叫你，你便吃他的祭物，
34:16 又為你的兒子娶他們的女兒為妻，他們的女兒隨從他們的神，就行邪淫，使你的兒子也隨從她們的神行邪淫。
34:17 「不可為自己鑄造神像。
34:18 「你要守除酵節，照我所吩咐你的，在亞筆月內所定的日期吃無酵餅七天，因為你是這亞筆月內出了埃及。
34:19 凡頭生的都是我的；一切牲畜頭生的，無論是牛是羊，公的都是我的。
34:20 頭生的驢要用羊羔代贖，若不代贖就要打折牠的頸項。凡頭生的兒子都要贖出來。誰也不可空手朝見我。
34:21 「你六日要做工，第七日要安息，雖在耕種收割的時候也要安息。
34:22 在收割初熟麥子的時候要守七七節；又在年底要守收藏節。
34:23 你們一切男丁要一年三次朝見主耶和華─以色列的上帝。
34:24 我要從你面前趕出外邦人，擴張你的境界。你一年三次上去朝見耶和華─你上帝的時候，必沒有人貪慕你的地土。
34:25 「你不可將我祭物的血和有酵的餅一同獻上。逾越節的祭物也不可留到早晨。
34:26 地裡首先初熟之物要送到耶和華─你上帝的殿。不可用山羊羔母的奶煮山羊羔。」
34:27 耶和華吩咐摩西說：「你要將這些話寫上，因為我是按這話與你和以色列人立約。」
34:28 摩西在耶和華那裡四十晝夜，也不吃飯也不喝水。耶和華將這約的話，就是十條誡，寫在兩塊版上。

¹⁰ Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you. ¹¹ Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. ¹² Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. ¹³ Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles.^{[a] 14} Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.
¹⁵ “Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices. ¹⁶ And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.
¹⁷ “Do not make any idols.
¹⁸ “Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt.
¹⁹ “The first offspring of every womb belongs to me, including all the firstborn males of your livestock, whether from herd or flock. ²⁰ Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons.
“No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
²¹ “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.
²² “Celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the firstfruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.^{[b] 23} Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Sovereign Lord, the God of Israel. ²⁴ I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times each year to appear before the Lord your God.
²⁵ “Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Festival remain until morning.
²⁶ “Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God.
“Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”
²⁷ Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” ²⁸ Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments.

    摩西在山上與耶和華同在四十天，不吃飯也不喝水，等候上帝將十誡寫在石版上。而上帝之所以頒布這十誡，是要讓以色列和附近的迦南人有分別，讓人一看就知道他們是屬呼耶和華，是分別為聖的一群！

    上帝向摩西嚴嚴的吩咐：「我今天所吩咐你的，你要謹守。我要從你面前攆出亞摩利人、迦南人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人。你要謹慎，不可與你所去那地的居民立約，恐怕成為你們中間的網羅；卻要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，砍下他們的木偶。不可敬拜別神；因為耶和華是忌邪的上帝，名為忌邪者。」

    既然如此，我們也要與世界有所分別，我們既然被耶穌基督從罪中拯救出來，就當倚靠聖靈而生活，不要再隨從情慾而活，因為我們要活出上帝兒女得樣式，正如以色列人要活出歸耶和華為聖的生活。而首先可以讓人看見的就是「遠避偶像」，不可以再像未信主以前一樣敬拜別神，只能敬拜耶和華上帝！
