12:1 摩西娶了古實女子為妻。米利暗和亞倫因他所娶的古實女子就毀謗他，說：
12:2 「難道耶和華單與摩西說話，不也與我們說話嗎？」這話耶和華聽見了。
12:3 （摩西為人極其謙和，勝過世上的眾人。）
12:4 耶和華忽然對摩西、亞倫、米利暗說：「你們三個人都出來，到會幕這裡。」他們三個人就出來了。
12:5 耶和華在雲柱中降臨，站在會幕門口，召亞倫和米利暗，二人就出來了。
12:6 耶和華說：「你們且聽我的話：你們中間若有先知，我─耶和華必在異象中向他顯現，在夢中與他說話。
12:7 我的僕人摩西不是這樣；他是在我全家盡忠的。
12:8 我要與他面對面說話，乃是明說，不用謎語，並且他必見我的形像。你們毀謗我的僕人摩西，為何不懼怕呢？」
12:9 耶和華就向他們二人發怒而去。
12:10 雲彩從會幕上挪開了，不料，米利暗長了大痲瘋，
12:11 有雪那樣白。亞倫一看米利暗長了大痲瘋，就對摩西說：「我主啊，求你不要因我們愚昧犯罪，便將這罪加在我們身上。
12:12 求你不要使她像那出母腹、肉已半爛的死胎。」
12:13 於是摩西哀求耶和華說：「上帝啊，求你醫治她！」
12:14 耶和華對摩西說：「她父親若吐唾沫在她臉上，她豈不蒙羞七天嗎？現在要把她在營外關鎖七天，然後才可以領她進來。」
12:15 於是米利暗關鎖在營外七天。百姓沒有行路，直等到把米利暗領進來。
12:16 以後百姓從哈洗錄起行，在巴蘭的曠野安營。

Miriam and Aaron began to talk
against Moses because of his Cushite wife, for he had married a Cushite. 2 “Has
the Lord spoken only through
Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?” And the Lord heard this.
3 (Now
Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the
earth.)
4 At
once the Lord said to Moses, Aaron
and Miriam, “Come out to the tent of meeting, all three of you.” So the three
of them went out. 5 Then the Lord
came down in a pillar of cloud; he stood at the entrance to the tent and
summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them stepped forward, 6 he
said, “Listen to my words:
“When
there is a prophet among you,
I, the Lord, reveal myself to them in visions,
I speak to them in dreams.
7 But this is not true of my servant Moses;
he is faithful in all my house.
8 With him I speak face to face,
clearly and not in riddles;
he sees the form of the Lord.
Why then were you not afraid
to speak against my servant Moses?”

anger of the Lord burned against
them, and he left them.
10 When
the cloud lifted from above the tent, Miriam’s skin was leprous[a]—it became
as white as snow. Aaron turned toward her and saw that she had a defiling skin
disease, 11 and he said to Moses, “Please, my lord, I ask you
not to hold against us the sin we have so foolishly committed. 12 Do
not let her be like a stillborn infant coming from its mother’s womb with its
flesh half eaten away.”
13 So
Moses cried out to the Lord,
“Please, God, heal her!”
14 The Lord replied to Moses, “If her father
had spit in her face, would she not have been in disgrace for seven days?
Confine her outside the camp for seven days; after that she can be brought
back.” 15 So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven
days, and the people did not move on till she was brought back.
16 After
that, the people left Hazeroth and encamped in the Desert of Paran.

米利暗和亞倫因摩西所娶的古實女子就毀謗他：「難道耶和華單與摩西說話，不也與我們說話嗎？」
然而特別有意思的是，聖經記載「這話耶和華聽見了」！摩西沒有聽見，卻是上帝聽見。也因此上帝要出面來處理這事，祂就降下向他們宣告自己與摩西的關係是「我要與他面對面說話，乃是明說，不用謎語，並且他必見我的形像」，接著警告他們：「你們毀謗我的僕人摩西，為何不懼怕呢？」
這給我們很大的提醒，就是不要論斷上帝所揀選的代表，不管是教會領袖還是弟兄姊妹都不可以論斷。正如雅各書說：「弟兄們，你們不可彼此批評。人若批評弟兄，論斷弟兄，就是批評律法，論斷律法。你若論斷律法，就不是遵行律法，乃是判斷人的。設立律法和判斷人的，只有一位，就是那能救人也能滅人的。你是誰，竟敢論斷別人呢？」（4:11-12）
求主幫助我們，不要在口舌上犯罪，也就是不要論斷弟兄姊妹，也不要說傳道人和長執的長短，到頭報應都在自己身上，如同米利暗和亞倫！
