52:1 西底家登基的時候年二十一歲，在耶路撒冷作王十一年。他母親名叫哈慕他，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。
52:2 西底家行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，是照約雅敬一切所行的。
52:3 因此耶和華的怒氣在耶路撒冷和猶大發作，以致將人民從自己的面前趕出。
52:4 西底家背叛巴比倫王。他作王第九年十月初十日，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領全軍來攻擊耶路撒冷，對城安營，四圍築壘攻城。
52:5 於是城被圍困直到西底家王十一年。
52:6 四月初九日，城裡有大饑荒，甚至百姓都沒有糧食。
52:7 城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜間從靠近王園兩城中間的門，出城逃跑；迦勒底人正在四圍攻城。他們就往亞拉巴逃去。
52:8 迦勒底的軍隊追趕西底家王，在耶利哥的平原追上他。他的全軍都離開他四散了。
52:9 迦勒底人就拿住王，帶他到在哈馬地利比拉的巴比倫王那裡；巴比倫王便審判他。
52:10 巴比倫王在西底家眼前殺了他的眾子，又在利比拉殺了猶大的一切首領，
52:11 並且剜了西底家的眼睛，用銅鍊鎖著他，帶到巴比倫去，將他囚在監裡，直到他死的日子。

Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began
to reign; he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal
daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. 2He did what was evil in the sight
of the Lord, just as Jehoiakim had done. 3Indeed,
Jerusalem and Judah so angered the Lord that he expelled
them from his presence.
Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4And in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the
tenth day of the month, King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon came with all his army
against Jerusalem, and they laid siege to it; they built siegeworks against it
all around. 5So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of
King Zedekiah. 6On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine
became so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.
7Then a breach was made in the city wall; and all the soldiers fled
and went out from the city by night by the way of the gate between the two
walls, by the king’s garden, though the Chaldeans were all around the city.
They went in the direction of the Arabah. 8But the army of the
Chaldeans pursued the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and
all his army was scattered, deserting him. 9Then they captured the
king, and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of
Hamath, and he passed sentence on him. 10The king of Babylon killed
the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and also killed all the officers of Judah
at Riblah. 11He put out the eyes of Zedekiah, and bound him in
fetters, and the king of Babylon took him to Babylon, and put him in prison
until the day of his death.
