3:22 耶和華的靈（原文是手）在那裡降在我身上。他對我說：「你起來往平原去，我要在那裡和你說話。」
3:23 於是我起來往平原去，不料，耶和華的榮耀正如我在迦巴魯河邊所見的一樣，停在那裡，我就俯伏於地。
3:24 靈就進入我裡面，使我站起來。耶和華對我說：「你進房屋去，將門關上。
3:25 人子啊，人必用繩索捆綁你，你就不能出去在他們中間來往。
3:26 我必使你的舌頭貼住上膛，以致你啞口，不能作責備他們的人；他們原是悖逆之家。
3:27 但我對你說話的時候，必使你開口，你就要對他們說：『主耶和華如此說。』聽的可以聽，不聽的任他不聽，因為他們是悖逆之家。」
And the hand of the Lord was upon me there.
And he said to me, “Arise, go out into the valley, and there I will speak with
you.” So I arose and went out into the
valley, and behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory that I
had seen by the Chebar canal, and I fell on my face. But the Spirit entered into me and set me on
my feet, and he spoke with me and said to me, “Go, shut yourself within your
house. And you, O son of man, behold,
cords will be placed upon you, and you shall be bound with them, so that you
cannot go out among the people. And I
will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be
mute and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house. But when I speak with you, I will open your
mouth, and you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord God.’ He who will hear,
let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a
rebellious house.

這段是以西結將個人與聖靈相遇之事描寫下來。或許有人以為有這神秘經驗比較屬靈，希望自己也有這經驗。但是，這樣的經驗的主權在上帝，上帝有祂的心意與主權，不可以強求。有或沒有這樣的經歷，都要感謝上帝！
而以西結這樣的經歷，仍然是以上帝要他去宣告上帝的話有關。因為上帝要他在宣告時要說：「主耶和華如此說。」來表明自己是上帝的代言者。
我們若是要宣讀聖經，也可以如此說：「上帝的話語記載在…」讓人注意來聆聽上帝的話，使上帝的話進入聽眾的心中，好使他們來遵行而受上帝的賜福！
敬畏耶和華是知識的開端；愚妄人藐視智慧和訓誨。
