13:1 耶穌從殿裡出來的時候，有一個門徒對他說：「夫子，請看，這是何等的石頭！何等的殿宇！」
13:2 耶穌對他說：「你看見這大殿宇嗎？將來在這裡沒有一塊石頭留在石頭上，不被拆毀了。」
13:3 耶穌在橄欖山上對聖殿而坐，彼得、雅各、約翰，和安得烈暗暗地問他說：
13:4 「請告訴我們，甚麼時候有這些事呢？這一切事將成的時候有甚麼預兆呢？」
13:5 耶穌說：「你們要謹慎，免得有人迷惑你們。
13:6 將來有好些人冒我的名來，說：『我是基督』，並且要迷惑許多人。
13:7 你們聽見打仗和打仗的風聲，不要驚慌。這些事是必須有的，只是末期還沒有到。
13:8 民要攻打民，國要攻打國；多處必有地震、饑荒。這都是災難（災難：原文是生產之難）的起頭。
13:9 但你們要謹慎；因為人要把你們交給公會，並且你們在會堂裡要受鞭打，又為我的緣故站在諸侯與君王面前，對他們作見證。
13:10 然而，福音必須先傳給萬民。
13:11 人把你們拉去交官的時候，不要預先思慮說甚麼；到那時候，賜給你們甚麼話，你們就說甚麼；因為說話的不是你們，乃是聖靈。
13:12 弟兄要把弟兄，父親要把兒子，送到死地；兒女要起來與父母為敵，害死他們；
13:13 並且你們要為我的名被眾人恨惡。惟有忍耐到底的，必然得救。」
13:14 「你們看見那行毀壞可憎的，站在不當站的地方（讀這經的人須要會意）。那時，在猶太的，應當逃到山上；
13:15 在房上的，不要下來，也不要進去拿家裡的東西；
13:16 在田裡的，也不要回去取衣裳。
13:17 當那些日子，懷孕的和奶孩子的有禍了！
13:18 你們應當祈求，叫這些事不在冬天臨到。
13:19 因為在那些日子必有災難，自從上帝創造萬物直到如今，並沒有這樣的災難，後來也必沒有。
13:20 若不是主減少那日子，凡有血氣的，總沒有一個得救的；只是為主的選民，他將那日子減少了。
13:21 那時若有人對你們說：『看哪，基督在這裡』，或說：『基督在那裡』，你們不要信！
13:22 因為假基督、假先知將要起來，顯神蹟奇事，倘若能行，就把選民迷惑了。
13:23 你們要謹慎。看哪，凡事我都預先告訴你們了。」
13:24 「在那些日子，那災難以後，日頭要變黑了，月亮也不放光，
13:25 眾星要從天上墜落，天勢都要震動。
13:26 那時，他們（馬太二十四章三十節是地上的萬族）要看見人子有大能力、大榮耀，駕雲降臨。
13:27 他要差遣天使，把他的選民，從四方（方：原文是風），從地極直到天邊，都招聚了來。」
13:28 「你們可以從無花果樹學個比方：當樹枝發嫩長葉的時候，你們就知道夏天近了。
13:29 這樣，你們幾時看見這些事成就，也該知道人子（人子：或譯上帝的國）近了，正在門口了。
13:30 我實在告訴你們，這世代還沒有過去，這些事都要成就。
13:31 天地要廢去，我的話卻不能廢去。」
As
Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher!
What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!”
2 “Do
you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be
left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3 As
Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James,
John and Andrew asked him privately, 4 “Tell us, when will
these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be
fulfilled?”
5 Jesus
said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 6 Many will
come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many. 7 When
you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. Such things must
happen, but the end is still to come. 8 Nation will rise
against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in
various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “You
must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and
flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and
kings as witnesses to them. 10 And the gospel must first be
preached to all nations. 11 Whenever you are arrested and
brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever
is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 “Brother
will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel
against their parents and have them put to death. 13 Everyone
will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be
saved.
14 “When
you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’[a] standing
where it[b] does not
belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the
mountains. 15 Let no one on the housetop go down or enter the
house to take anything out. 16 Let no one in the field go back
to get their cloak. 17 How dreadful it will be in those days
for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 18 Pray that this will
not take place in winter, 19 because those will be days of
distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and
never to be equaled again.
20 “If
the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake
of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them. 21 At
that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there
he is!’ do not believe it. 22 For false messiahs and false
prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible,
even the elect. 23 So be on your guard; I have told you
everything ahead of time.
24 “But
in those days, following that distress,
“‘the
sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
25 the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[c]
26 “At
that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and
glory. 27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from
the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
28 “Now
learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its
leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 29 Even so, when
you see these things happening, you know that it[d] is near,
right at the door. 30 Truly I tell you, this generation will
certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 31 Heaven
and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

對基督徒而言最大的盼望是主耶穌的再來，因為在那個時候，上帝的國要完全實現，魔鬼的勢力全部被消除，基督徒要與基督一同享受王權，一直到永遠！在那時候，不再有死亡、疾病和痛苦，有的是永生的福樂！
然而，在上帝國要實現之前，魔鬼會作困獸之鬥，大大的傷害基督督徒！但是我們不要害怕，夜越深表是離黎明的時候是越近，只要我們懷著希望，緊緊信靠與跟隨主耶穌，時候就要到了！
在末世時，魔鬼也會讓假先知和假基督來欺騙我們，我們更是要靠主堅強來面對，因為主必將最後的且是永恆的勝利賜給我們的！因為主耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，這世代還沒有過去，這些事都要成就。天地要廢去，我的話卻不能廢去。」
