以弗所書1:15-18

1:15 因此，我既聽見你們信從主耶穌，親愛眾聖徒，

1:16 就為你們不住地感謝上帝。禱告的時候，常提到你們，

1:17 求我們主耶穌基督的上帝，榮耀的父，將那賜人智慧和啟示的靈賞給你們，使你們真知道他，

1:18 並且照明你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道他的恩召有何等指望，他在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀；

¹⁵ For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people, ¹⁶ I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. ¹⁷ I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit^[f] of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. ¹⁸ I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,

    對於永恆的盼望，讚主耶穌裡信靠上帝的結果，正如好行為是從信靠上帝來的一般！然而上帝為了讓我們有把握，就賜下聖靈為印記。而聖靈是上帝，是與聖父和聖子同榮與同尊，有次序之別，但是地位卻是相同的！

    聖靈在我們心中的工作是什麼呢﹖就是「並且照明你們心中的眼睛，使你們知道他的恩召有何等指望，他在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀！」

    既然是如此，我們要尊崇聖靈如同聖父和聖子。但是，祂卻又常常引常自己，像我們見證耶穌基督是上帝的兒子、是主！雖然耶穌基督是用肉身顯現，但是上帝成就在耶穌基督身上的，也要成就在每一個屬基督的人身上。

    也因為這樣，我們若為基督的緣故受人來的苦，我們也要同基督受上帝來的榮耀！這是聖靈要我們看見：「他（基督）的恩召有何等指望，他在聖徒中得的基業有何等豐盛的榮耀！」
