詩篇55:19-21

 

55:19 那沒有更變、不敬畏上帝的人，從太古常存的上帝必聽見而苦待他。

55:20 他背了約，伸手攻擊與他和好的人。

55:21 他的口如奶油光滑，他的心卻懷著爭戰；他的話比油柔和，其實是拔出來的刀。

 

¹⁹ God, who is enthroned from of old,
    who does not change—
he will hear them and humble them,
    because they have no fear of God.

²⁰ My companion attacks his friends;
    he violates his covenant.
²¹ His talk is smooth as butter,
    yet war is in his heart;
his words are more soothing than oil,
    yet they are drawn swords.

    這段經文現代中文譯本翻譯成為：「從太古掌權的上帝一定會聽我，挫敗他們；因為他們不肯改變，不敬畏上帝。我從前的同伴攻擊他的朋友；他違背了自己的諾言。他的嘴唇比奶油還要滑，心裏卻充滿仇恨。他的言語比脂肪還要柔潤，其實像一把出鞘的利劍。」

    詩人在此說到上帝一定會讓他勝過背叛他的人，因為上帝聽他的禱告，人再厲害也無法與上帝爭戰。

    也因此，他將朋友背叛的事情交給上帝來處理，讓上帝來成就美事！
