傳道書12:9-14

12:9 再者，傳道者因有智慧，仍將知識教訓眾人；又默想，又考查，又陳說許多箴言。
12:10 傳道者專心尋求可喜悅的言語，是憑正直寫的誠實話。
12:11 智慧人的言語好像刺棍；會中之師的言語又像釘穩的釘子，都是一個牧者所賜的。
12:12 我兒，還有一層，你當受勸戒：著書多，沒有窮盡；讀書多，身體疲倦。
12:13 這些事都已聽見了，總意就是：敬畏上帝，謹守他的誡命，這是人所當盡的本分（或譯：這是眾人的本分）。
12:14 因為人所做的事，連一切隱藏的事，無論是善是惡，上帝都必審問。

⁹ Not only was the Teacher wise, but he also imparted knowledge to the people. He pondered and searched out and set in order many proverbs. ¹⁰ The Teacher searched to find just the right words, and what he wrote was upright and true.
¹¹ The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one shepherd.^{[b] 12} Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

¹³ Now all has been heard;
    here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
    for this is the duty of all mankind.
¹⁴ For God will bring every deed into judgment,
    including every hidden thing,
    whether it is good or evil.

    傳道書的作者在此標明：「敬畏上帝，謹守他的誡命，這是人所當盡的本分。因為人所做的事，連一切隱藏的事，無論是善是惡，上帝都必審問。」

    這也告訴我們，一生當中最重要的事就是「敬畏上帝，謹守他的誡命」！也唯有這樣，我們才能突破人生的無意義，才不會凡事虛空的虛空。因為，上帝使虛空轉為實在。

    因此，我們要快快信靠主耶穌，我們的生命才會從滅亡轉變成永生！

傳道書12章

傳道書12:1-8

12:1 你趁著年幼、衰敗的日子尚未來到，就是你所說，我毫無喜樂的那些年日未曾臨近之先，當記念造你的主。
12:2 不要等到日頭、光明、月亮、星宿變為黑暗，雨後雲彩反回，
12:3 看守房屋的發顫，有力的屈身，推磨的稀少就止息，從窗戶往外看的都昏暗；
12:4 街門關閉，推磨的響聲微小，雀鳥一叫，人就起來，唱歌的女子也都衰微。
12:5 人怕高處，路上有驚慌，杏樹開花，蚱蜢成為重擔，人所願的也都廢掉；因為人歸他永遠的家，弔喪的在街上往來。
12:6 銀鍊折斷，金罐破裂，瓶子在泉旁損壞，水輪在井口破爛，
12:7 塵土仍歸於地，靈仍歸於賜靈的上帝。
12:8 傳道者說：「虛空的虛空，凡事都是虛空。」

Remember your Creator
    in the days of your youth,
before the days of trouble come
    and the years approach when you will say,
    “I find no pleasure in them”—
² before the sun and the light
    and the moon and the stars grow dark,
    and the clouds return after the rain;
³ when the keepers of the house tremble,
    and the strong men stoop,
when the grinders cease because they are few,
    and those looking through the windows grow dim;
⁴ when the doors to the street are closed
    and the sound of grinding fades;
when people rise up at the sound of birds,
    but all their songs grow faint;
⁵ when people are afraid of heights
    and of dangers in the streets;
when the almond tree blossoms
    and the grasshopper drags itself along
    and desire no longer is stirred.
Then people go to their eternal home
    and mourners go about the streets.

⁶ Remember him—before the silver cord is severed,
    and the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
    and the wheel broken at the well,
⁷ and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
    and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

⁸ “Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher.^[a]
    “Everything is meaningless!”

    有人說到尋找上帝是年老髮白的事，年輕人應該好好享受生命，不要受到任何思想與信仰的限制，好好的拼一下，開創自己的一片天與地，好立足在這個世界上傲視群雄！

    但是歲月是不饒人的，人的精彩年華也只有短短二十多年，上了五十歲以後，人漸漸覺得衰老，漸漸的力不從心，在沒有多久之後，可能就邁入了六十歲，接近法定的退休年紀了！

    傳道者在這裡勸勉人，尚未進入對人生感到虛空、無意義的時候，就要趕快來尋求上帝，以免老大徒傷悲！保羅也勸勉我們：「因為他說：『在悅納的時候，我應允了你；在拯救的日子，我搭救了你。』看哪，現在正是悅納的時候！現在正是拯救的日子！」(哥林多後書6:2)

    好好把握時機，「當趁耶和華可尋找的時候尋找他，相近的時候求告他。」（以賽亞書55:6）

傳道書11:9-10

11:9 少年人哪，你在幼年時當快樂。在幼年的日子，使你的心歡暢，行你心所願行的，看你眼所愛看的；卻要知道，為這一切的事，上帝必審問你。
11:10 所以，你當從心中除掉愁煩，從肉體克去邪惡；因為一生的開端和幼年之時，都是虛空的。

⁹ You who are young, be happy while you are young,
    and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth.
Follow the ways of your heart
    and whatever your eyes see,
but know that for all these things
    God will bring you into judgment.
¹⁰ So then, banish anxiety from your heart
    and cast off the troubles of your body,
    for youth and vigor are meaningless.

    傳道者這段話在現代中文譯本的翻譯是：「年輕人哪，快活地過你青春的時光吧！趁年輕時歡樂吧！隨心所欲做你喜歡做的事吧！但是要記得，上帝要按照你的行為審判你。不要讓任何事使你煩惱，使你痛苦；因為青春不能長駐，是空虛的。」

    所以說，青春雖然是可以我行我素，或是說：「人不輕狂，枉少年」。但是，青春不可以拿來揮霍，反倒是要好好利用，因為到頭來，就如傳道者說：「上帝必審問你」！

    雖然照這裡所說：「青春不能長駐，是空虛的！」

    就像歌曲說的，我的青春小鳥，一去不回頭！讓我們感覺青春易逝，到頭來一是無成的空虛！

    然而約珥先知說：「我打發到你們中間的大軍隊，就是蝗蟲、蝻子、螞蚱、剪蟲，那些年所吃的，我要補還你們。」（約珥書2:25）

    同樣上帝也必把逝去的時間，補贖回來給我們，在基督裡一切都不是徒勞無益的，使我們享受永生無限！

傳道書11:6

早晨要撒你的種，晚上也不要歇你的手，因為你不知道哪一樣發旺；或是早撒的，或是晚撒的，或是兩樣都好。

Sow your seed in the morning,
    and at evening let your hands not be idle,
for you do not know which will succeed,
    whether this or that,
    or whether both will do equally well.

    傳道者在這裡說到不管任何時機都要撒種，不管是早晨或是晚上，因為不知到哪一個時候所撒的會有結果。這像保羅對提摩太說的話：「務要傳道，無論得時不得時，總要專心，並用百般的忍耐、各樣的教訓責備人，警戒人，勸勉人。」（提摩太後書4:2）

    所以，我們要存著信心來傳道，不要受到環境和時局的影響，甚至於有些人沒有馬上信靠主耶穌，但是福音的種子已經在心中，在時機成熟的時候，就會有好的結果。

    另一方我們要殷勤於對上帝話語的研讀，不管何時只要有機會，就要來研讀聖經，總有一天會讓上帝的話成為我們生命得全部，活出基督的樣式，讓基督在我們心中成形！
