2:1 弟兄們，論到我們主耶穌基督降臨和我們到他那裡聚集，
2:2 我勸你們：無論有靈、有言語、有冒我名的書信，說主的日子現在（現在：或譯就）到了，不要輕易動心，也不要驚慌。
Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, not to
become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by
a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord
has already come.

基督徒要關心主耶穌的再來，但是不要受到人的擾動。因為主耶穌再來是隨時預備好，就不用擔心。不要害怕祂下子就會再來，因為祂的再來是沒有人能預知的。
這也就是告訴我們不要隨人的宣告而恐慌，我們若準備好，反而要歡喜快樂來迎接主耶穌的再來。因為祂的再來是要領我們回到上帝面前，使上帝國完全實現。也就是我們得榮耀的時候了！
讓我們歡喜快樂，主耶穌再來的日子越來越近了，你準備好了嗎？
