19:7 耶和華的律法全備，能甦醒人心；耶和華的法度確定，能使愚人有智慧。
19:8 耶和華的訓詞正直，能快活人的心；耶和華的命令清潔，能明亮人的眼目。
19:9 耶和華的道理潔淨，存到永遠；耶和華的典章真實，全然公義─
19:10 都比金子可羨慕，且比極多的精金可羨慕；比蜜甘甜，且比蜂房下滴的蜜甘甜。
19:11 況且你的僕人因此受警戒，守著這些便有大賞。
19:12 誰能知道自己的錯失呢？願你赦免我隱而未現的過錯。
19:13 求你攔阻僕人不犯任意妄為的罪，不容這罪轄制我，我便完全，免犯大罪。
19:14 耶和華─我的磐石，我的救贖主啊，願我口中的言語、心裡的意念在你面前蒙悅納。

refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant,
giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is pure,
enduring forever.
The decrees of the Lord are firm,
and all of them are righteous.

they are sweeter than honey,

in keeping them there is great reward.

Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
innocent of great transgression.

上帝除了創造宇宙萬物之外，更用祂的話語來引導我們，就是所謂的「特殊啟示」，特別是指聖經。這裡用「律法」、「法度」、「訓詞」、「命令」、「道理」、「典章」，來稱呼上帝的話！
然而上帝的話和救贖的大功是息息相關的，若沒有上帝特殊的啟示，我們是無法得救贖的！所以，保羅如此說：「並且知道你是從小明白聖經，這聖經能使你因信基督耶穌，有得救的智慧。聖經都是上帝所默示的（或譯：凡上帝所默示的聖經），於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，叫屬上帝的人得以完全，預備行各樣的善事。」（提摩太後書3:15-17)
也因為有聖經的引導使我們知罪，知罪才能悔罪，悔罪才會認罪，認罪才能蒙赦罪！所以，大衛最後禱告說：「誰能知道自己的錯失呢？願你赦免我隱而未現的過錯。求你攔阻僕人不犯任意妄為的罪，不容這罪轄制我，我便完全，免犯大罪。耶和華─我的磐石，我的救贖主啊，願我口中的言語、心裡的意念在你面前蒙悅納。」
願我們也透過上帝的話語和聖靈的光照，讓我們勇於在上帝面前認罪，享受赦罪平安！正如約翰一書1章9節說：「我們若認自己的罪，上帝是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。」
