12:1 「你們存活於世的日子，在耶和華─你們列祖的上帝所賜你們為業的地上，要謹守遵行的律例典章乃是這些：
12:2 你們要將所趕出的國民事奉神的各地方，無論是在高山，在小山，在各青翠樹下，都毀壞了；
12:3 也要拆毀他們的祭壇，打碎他們的柱像，用火焚燒他們的木偶，砍下他們雕刻的神像，並將其名從那地方除滅。
12:4 你們不可照他們那樣事奉耶和華─你們的上帝。
12:5 但耶和華─你們的上帝從你們各支派中選擇何處為立他名的居所，你們就當往那裡去求問，
12:6 將你們的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的舉祭，並還願祭、甘心祭，以及牛群羊群中頭生的，都奉到那裡。
12:7 在那裡，耶和華─你們上帝的面前，你們和你們的家屬都可以吃，並且因你手所辦的一切事蒙耶和華─你的上帝賜福，就都歡樂。
12:8 我們今日在這裡所行的是各人行自己眼中看為正的事，你們將來不可這樣行；
12:9 因為你們還沒有到耶和華─你上帝所賜你的安息地，所給你的產業。
12:10 但你們過了約旦河，得以住在耶和華─你們上帝使你們承受為業之地，又使你們太平，不被四圍的一切仇敵擾亂，安然居住。
12:11 那時要將我所吩咐你們的燔祭、平安祭、十分取一之物，和手中的舉祭，並向耶和華許願獻的一切美祭，都奉到耶和華─你們上帝所選擇要立為他名的居所。
12:12 你們和兒女、僕婢，並住在你們城裡無分無業的利未人，都要在耶和華─你們的上帝面前歡樂。
12:13 你要謹慎，不可在你所看中的各處獻燔祭。
12:14 惟獨耶和華從你那一支派中所選擇的地方，你就要在那裡獻燔祭，行我一切所吩咐你的。
12:15 「然而，在你各城裡都可以照耶和華─你上帝所賜你的福分，隨心所欲宰牲吃肉；無論潔淨人不潔淨人都可以吃，就如吃羚羊與鹿一般。
12:16 只是不可吃血，要倒在地上，如同倒水一樣。
12:17 你的五穀、新酒，和油的十分之一，或是牛群羊群中頭生的，或是你許願獻的，甘心獻的，或是手中的舉祭，都不可在你城裡吃。
12:18 但要在耶和華─你的上帝面前吃，在耶和華─你上帝所要選擇的地方，你和兒女、僕婢，並住在你城裡的利未人，都可以吃；也要因你手所辦的，在耶和華─你上帝面前歡樂。
12:19 你要謹慎，在你所住的地方永不可丟棄利未人。
12:20 「耶和華─你的上帝照他所應許擴張你境界的時候，你心裡想要吃肉，說：『我要吃肉』，就可以隨心所欲地吃肉。
12:21 耶和華─你上帝所選擇要立他名的地方若離你太遠，就可以照我所吩咐的，將耶和華賜給你的牛羊取些宰了，可以隨心所欲在你城裡吃。
12:22 你吃那肉，要像吃羚羊與鹿一般；無論潔淨人不潔淨人都可以吃。
12:23 只是你要心意堅定，不可吃血，因為血是生命；不可將血（原文是生命）與肉同吃。
12:24 不可吃血，要倒在地上，如同倒水一樣。
12:25 不可吃血。這樣，你行耶和華眼中看為正的事，你和你的子孫就可以得福。
12:26 只是你分別為聖的物和你的還願祭要奉到耶和華所選擇的地方去。
12:27 你的燔祭，連肉帶血，都要獻在耶和華─你上帝的壇上。平安祭的血要倒在耶和華─你上帝的壇上；平安祭的肉，你自己可以吃。
12:28 你要謹守聽從我所吩咐的一切話，行耶和華─你上帝眼中看為善，看為正的事。這樣，你和你的子孫就可以永遠享福。」
12:29 「耶和華─你上帝將你要去趕出的國民從你面前剪除，你得了他們的地居住，
12:30 那時就要謹慎，不可在他們除滅之後隨從他們的惡俗，陷入網羅，也不可訪問他們的神說：『這些國民怎樣事奉他們的神，我也要照樣行。』
12:31 你不可向耶和華─你的上帝這樣行，因為他們向他們的神行了耶和華所憎嫌所恨惡的一切事，甚至將自己的兒女用火焚燒，獻與他們的神。
12:32 凡我所吩咐的，你們都要謹守遵行，不可加添，也不可刪減。
These are the decrees and
laws you must be careful to follow in the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you to
possess—as long as you live in the land. 2 Destroy completely all the
places on the high mountains, on the hills and under every spreading tree,
where the nations you are dispossessing worship their gods. 3 Break down their altars, smash
their sacred stones and burn their Asherah poles in the fire; cut down the
idols of their gods and wipe out their names from those places.
4 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way. 5 But you are to seek the place
the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name
there for his dwelling. To that place you must go; 6 there bring your burnt
offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, what you have vowed to
give and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
7 There, in the presence
of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in
everything you have put your hand to, because the Lord your God has blessed you.
8 You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see
fit, 9 since you have not yet reached the resting place
and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you.
10 But you will cross the
Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is
giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies
around you so that you will live in safety. 11 Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name—there you are to
bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your
tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord. 12 And
there rejoice before the Lord your God—you, your sons and
daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites from your towns who
have no allotment or inheritance of their own. 13 Be careful not to sacrifice your burnt offerings
anywhere you please. 14 Offer
them only at the place the Lord will choose
in one of your tribes, and there observe everything I command you.
15 Nevertheless, you may slaughter your animals in any of your towns
and eat as much of the meat as you want, as if it were gazelle or deer, according
to the blessing the Lord your God gives you. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean may
eat it. 16 But you must not eat the blood; pour it out on the
ground like water. 17 You
must not eat in your own towns the tithe of your grain and new wine and olive
oil, or the firstborn of your herds and flocks, or whatever you have vowed to
give, or your freewill offerings or special gifts. 18 Instead, you are to eat them
in the presence of the Lord your God at the place the Lord your God will choose—you, your sons and daughters, your male and
female servants, and the Levites from your towns—and you are to rejoice before
the Lord your God in everything you put your hand to. 19 Be careful not to neglect
the Levites as long as you live in your land.
20 When the Lord your God has enlarged your territory as he promised you, and you
crave meat and say, “I would like some meat,” then you may eat as much of it as
you want. 21 If the place where the Lord your God chooses to put his Name is too far away from you, you may
slaughter animals from the herds and flocks the Lord has given
you, as I have commanded you, and in your own towns you may eat as much of them
as you want. 22 Eat
them as you would gazelle or deer. Both the ceremonially unclean and the clean
may eat. 23 But
be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must
not eat the life with the meat. 24 You must not eat the blood; pour it out on the
ground like water. 25 Do
not eat it, so that it may go well with you and your children after you,
because you will be doing what is right in the eyes of the Lord.
26 But take your consecrated things and whatever you have vowed to give,
and go to the place the Lord will choose. 27 Present your burnt offerings
on the altar of the Lord your God, both the meat and the
blood. The blood of your sacrifices must be poured beside the altar of the Lord your God, but you may eat the meat. 28 Be careful to obey all these regulations I am
giving you, so that it may always go well with you and your children after you,
because you will be doing what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord your God.
29 The Lord your God will cut off before you the nations you are about to
invade and dispossess. But when you have driven them out and settled in their
land, 30 and after they have been destroyed before you, be
careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these
nations serve their gods? We will do the same.” 31 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do
all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They
even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.
32 See that you do all I command you; do not add to it or take away
from it.

上帝要以色列人進入迦南地之後，要將邱壇廢去，只能在上帝所決定的地方敬拜上帝，在那裏過節和獻祭。這樣座是避免以色列人受到迦南人的影響，敬拜迦南人當地的偶像。
當然以色列人進到迦南地，不但沒有完全遵守，還在邱壇上隨同迦南人敬拜巴力、亞斯他錄、…等外邦的神明，而導致以色列人承受上帝的憤怒，最後為亞述和巴比倫所滅！
今日也有許多基督徒並沒有真正離棄過去罪惡的偶像，甚至是以自我為中心，仍然我行我素，禱告不是為了順服上帝而是要命令上帝照他們的心意來行！導至真正的基督徒不屑稱自己是基督徒，正如丹麥的神學家祈克果，實為基督徒，常常親近上帝，有很好的禱告生活，卻不願稱自己是基督徒！
親愛的弟兄姊妹，我們既然自稱為基督徒，就不要傳講自以為事的真理，就像最近有抹一個基督團體不能在學校繼續進行生命教育的事工，我們要思考為何會如此﹖就如主日的講台是不是以傳講聖經的真理為中心呢﹖
讓我們除邱壇建聖殿吧！讓教會真正成為教會，就是讓耶穌都成為教會的元首，不是讓人的權威高過耶穌基督的權威，一切權柄是屬耶穌基督的！
