何西阿書10:3-6

10:3 他們必說：我們沒有王，因為我們不敬畏耶和華。王能為我們做甚麼呢？

10:4 他們為立約說謊言，起假誓；因此，災罰如苦菜滋生在田間的犁溝中。

10:5 撒馬利亞的居民必因伯‧亞文的牛犢驚恐；崇拜牛犢的民和喜愛牛犢的祭司都必因榮耀離開它，為它悲哀。

10:6 人必將牛犢帶到亞述當作禮物，獻給耶雷布王。以法蓮必蒙羞；以色列必因自己的計謀慚愧。

For now they will say:

 "We have no king,

for we do not fear the Lord;

and a king—what could he do for us?"

4 They utter mere words;

with empty oaths they make covenants;

so judgment springs up like poisonous weeds

 in the furrows of the field.

5 The inhabitants of Samaria tremble

for the calf of Beth- aven.

Its people mourn for it, and so do its idolatrous priests—

those who rejoiced over it and over its glory—

for it has departed from them.

6 The thing itself shall be carried to Assyria

as tribute to the great king.

Ephraim shall be put to shame,

and Israel shall be ashamed of his idol.

    在此我們看見以色列人因為不敬畏耶和華，造成對政治不信任，甚至造成他們最後滅於亞述帝國！

    這也讓我們看見，教會若是不敬畏上帝，不尊基督為主，最後的下場也是如此。因為人本身就是不穩定，是不可信賴的！教會中彼此不信賴，就不能同心興旺福音，建立教會。

    當然人不尊崇上帝時，反而將人降格，人不連結就失去人該有的尊嚴，因為人有尊嚴是來自人是照上的形像和樣式造的！耶穌基督的拯救，就是要人恢復這榮美形像！
