31:3 不要將你的精力給婦女；也不要有敗壞君王的行為。
31:4 利慕伊勒啊，君王喝酒，君王喝酒不相宜；王子說濃酒在那裡也不相宜；
31:5 恐怕喝了就忘記律例，顛倒一切困苦人的是非。
31:6 可以把濃酒給將亡的人喝，把清酒給苦心的人喝，
31:7 讓他喝了，就忘記他的貧窮，不再記念他的苦楚。

for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.

這是母親對兒子的教導，除了教他如何做一個公正的王，還教導他如何擇偶。當然，她如此說，就是在說明自己是怎樣持家，也盼望兒子能個找到一位會持家的太太，讓家業繼續興旺，正如現在一樣！
而在這樣的描述中，讓我們看見以色列婦女的特質，除了管理好家庭的事物，要教導好兒女，更是透過手工藝來貼補家用，因為在當時的食衣住行中，衣的部分都是靠女子來完成。
當然更重要的事就是要敬畏耶和華，而這一切聰明才智都是來自上帝，若不是上帝的引導和賜福，才德的婦人就無法經營廣大的家業了！
