箴言25:4-5

25:4 除去銀子的渣滓就有銀子出來，銀匠能以作器皿。

25:5 除去王面前的惡人，國位就靠公義堅立。

 

25:4 Take away the dross from the silver, and the smith has material for a vessel;

25:5 take away the wicked from the presence of the king, and his throne will be

established in righteousness.

    對國家和個人都一樣，要對付罪的問題。

 

    人要自潔且脫離卑賤的事，才能成為貴重之器皿，合乎主用。同樣一個國家的堅立就是要除去惡人，使上帝的公義得以彰顯。

 

    對於“除去惡人”我們不免會想到懲戒之問題，教會要保持聖潔，懲戒是不可缺，因為人多少有些被動，需要人之鞭策。
