列王紀下15:17-22

 

15:17 猶大王亞撒利雅三十九年，迦底的兒子米拿現登基，在撒馬利亞作以色列王十年。
15:18 他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，終身不離開尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪。
15:19 亞述王普勒來攻擊以色列國，米拿現給他一千他連得銀子，請普勒幫助他堅定國位。
15:20 米拿現向以色列一切大富戶索要銀子，使他們各出五十舍客勒，就給了亞述王。於是亞述王回去，不在國中停留。
15:21 米拿現其餘的事，凡他所行的都寫在以色列諸王記上。
15:22 米拿現與他列祖同睡。他兒子比加轄接續他作王。

 

¹⁷ In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria ten years. ¹⁸ He did evil in the eyes of the Lord. During his entire reign he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.

¹⁹ Then Pul^[f] king of Assyria invaded the land, and Menahem gave him a thousand talents^[g] of silver to gain his support and strengthen his own hold on the kingdom. ²⁰ Menahem exacted this money from Israel. Every wealthy person had to contribute fifty shekels^[h] of silver to be given to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria withdrew and stayed in the land no longer.

²¹ As for the other events of Menahem’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel? ²² Menahem rested with his ancestors. And Pekahiah his son succeeded him as king.

    亞述帝國的勢力日漸明顯，以色列因為不敬畏上帝，開始依靠這強大的勢力！

 

 

列王紀下15:13-16

 

15:13 猶大王烏西雅（就是亞撒利雅）三十九年，雅比的兒子沙龍登基在撒馬利亞作王一個月。
15:14 迦底的兒子米拿現從得撒上撒馬利亞，殺了雅比的兒子沙龍，篡了他的位。
15:15 沙龍其餘的事和他背叛的情形都寫在以色列諸王記上。
15:16 那時米拿現從得撒起攻打提斐薩和其四境，擊殺城中一切的人，剖開其中所有的孕婦，都因他們沒有給他開城。

 

¹³ Shallum son of Jabesh became king in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigned in Samaria one month. ¹⁴ Then Menahem son of Gadi went from Tirzah up to Samaria. He attacked Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, assassinated him and succeeded him as king.

¹⁵ The other events of Shallum’s reign, and the conspiracy he led, are written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel.

¹⁶ At that time Menahem, starting out from Tirzah, attacked Tiphsah and everyone in the city and its vicinity, because they refused to open their gates. He sacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women.

    以色列因為不敬畏上帝，所以政權十分不穩定，常常發生政變，王一直被殺篡位！

 

 

列王紀下15:8-12

 

15:8 猶大王亞撒利雅三十八年，耶羅波安的兒子撒迦利雅在撒馬利亞作以色列王六個月。
15:9 他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，效法他列祖所行的，不離開尼八的兒子耶羅波安使以色列人陷在罪裡的那罪。
15:10 雅比的兒子沙龍背叛他，在百姓面前擊殺他，篡了他的位。
15:11 撒迦利雅其餘的事都寫在以色列諸王記上。
15:12 這是從前耶和華應許耶戶說：「你的子孫必坐以色列的國位直到四代。」這話果然應驗了。

 

⁸ In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam became king of Israel in Samaria, and he reigned six months. ⁹ He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his predecessors had done. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.

¹⁰ Shallum son of Jabesh conspired against Zechariah. He attacked him in front of the people,^[d] assassinated him and succeeded him as king. ¹¹ The other events of Zechariah’s reign are written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel. ¹² So the word of the Lord spoken to Jehu was fulfilled: “Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

    耶戶王朝雖然只有四代，卻是以色列王國最蒙上帝眷顧的時候，因為耶戶勇敢起來，破壞了一切拜巴力的勢力，使上帝的公義展現出來！但是他們仍然拜金牛犢，不蒙上帝喜悅！

15:1 以色列王耶羅波安二十七年，猶大王亞瑪謝的兒子亞撒利雅登基，
15:2 他登基的時候年十六歲，在耶路撒冷作王五十二年。他母親名叫耶可利雅，是耶路撒冷人。
15:3 亞撒利雅行耶和華眼中看為正的事，效法他父親亞瑪謝一切所行的；
15:4 只是邱壇還沒有廢去，百姓仍在那裡獻祭燒香。
15:5 耶和華降災與王，使他長大痲瘋，直到死日，他就住在別的宮裡。他的兒子約坦管理家事，治理國民。
15:6 亞撒利雅其餘的事，凡他所行的都寫在猶大列王記上。
15:7 亞撒利雅與他列祖同睡，葬在大衛城他列祖的墳地裡。他兒子約坦接續他作王。

 

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah^[a] son of Amaziah king of Judah began to reign. ² He was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-two years. His mother’s name was Jekoliah; she was from Jerusalem. ³ He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Amaziah had done. ⁴ The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there.

⁵ The Lord afflicted the king with leprosy^[b] until the day he died, and he lived in a separate house.^[c] Jotham the king’s son had charge of the palace and governed the people of the land.

⁶ As for the other events of Azariah’s reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? ⁷ Azariah rested with his ancestors and was buried near them in the City of David. And Jotham his son succeeded him as king.

    亞撒利雅又名烏西雅，在《歷代志下》26章16-20節說到他長大痲瘋的原因：就是「心高氣傲，以致行事邪僻，干犯耶和華─他的上帝，進耶和華的殿，要在香壇上燒香」

 

    上帝讓先知、君王和祭司在就任前都會受膏抹，但是每個人職務都不同，各有所司，不可以互相侵犯或取代。然而烏西雅心中驕傲，忘記獻祭和燒香的事情是要由祭司主持，雖然祭司阻止說：「烏西雅啊，給耶和華燒香不是你的事，乃是亞倫子孫承接聖職祭司的事。你出聖殿吧！因為你犯了罪。你行這事，耶和華上帝必不使你得榮耀。」

 

    然而烏西雅就發怒，手拿香爐要燒香。他向祭司發怒的時候，在耶和華殿中香壇旁眾祭司面前，額上忽然發出大痲瘋。大祭司亞撒利雅和眾祭司觀看，見他額上發出大痲瘋，就催他出殿；他自己也急速出去，因為耶和華降災與他。

 

    也因為這樣，他就羞羞恥恥的過於下的人生，住在別的宮裡，與耶和華的殿隔絕。他兒子約坦管理家事，治理國民。這是多麼可惜的事啊！

 

    而這樣的事件讓我們想到彼得前書5章5-6節說：「你們年幼的，也要順服年長的。就是你們眾人也都要以謙卑束腰，彼此順服；因為上帝阻擋驕傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。所以，你們要自卑，服在上帝大能的手下，到了時候，他必叫你們升高。」

 

    因此，我們不要因為自己受了教育，擁有了學位，甚至有人間的睿智，就自以為高人一等，看不起別人、不敬畏上帝！若是這樣，就會和烏利雅了下場一樣，最後不是得榮耀，而是遭羞辱，讓我們以此為戒！
