44:9 「主耶和華如此說：以色列中的外邦人，就是身心未受割禮的，都不可入我的聖地。」
44:10 「當以色列人走迷的時候，有利未人遠離我，就是走迷離開我、隨從他們的偶像，他們必擔當自己的罪孽。
44:11 然而他們必在我的聖地當僕役，照管殿門，在殿中供職；必為民宰殺燔祭牲和平安祭牲，必站在民前伺候他們。
44:12 因為這些利未人曾在偶像前伺候這民，成了以色列家罪孽的絆腳石，所以我向他們起誓：他們必擔當自己的罪孽。這是主耶和華說的。
44:13 他們不可親近我，給我供祭司的職分，也不可挨近我的一件聖物，就是至聖的物；他們卻要擔當自己的羞辱和所行可憎之事的報應。
44:14 然而我要使他們看守殿宇，辦理其中的一切事，並做其內一切當做之工。」
9 "Thus says the Lord God: No
foreigner, uncircumcised in heart and flesh, of all the foreigners who are
among the people of Israel, shall enter my sanctuary. 10 But the Levites who
went far from me, going astray from me after their idols when Israel went
astray, shall bear their punishment. 11 They shall be ministers in my
sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the temple and ministering in the
temple. They shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the
people, and they shall stand before the people, to minister to them. 12 Because
they ministered to them before their idols and became a stumbling block of
iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have sworn concerning them,
declares the Lord God, and they shall bear their punishment. 13 They shall not
come near to me, to serve me as priest, nor come near any of my holy things and
the things that are most holy, but they shall bear their shame and the
abominations that they have committed. 14 Yet I will appoint them to keep
charge of the temple, to do all its service and all that is to be done in it.

這裡說道有些利未人本當視為上帝所用的祭司，但是他們遠離上帝隨從他們的偶像，所以他們必擔當自己的罪孽。不可以處理獻祭的事，在上帝的聖地當僕役，照管殿門，在殿中供職；必為百姓來宰殺燔祭牲和平安祭牲，必站在民前伺候他們。
這也看見成為獻祭的祭司，就必須專心隨上帝，不可以敬拜偶像，因為上帝對祭司的要求是聖潔！今天我們成為上帝的兒女，也是有君尊的祭司，一定要聖潔，不可沾染汙穢！也因此，要離棄偶像與不義的事！
求主幫助讓我們時時謹記，人若不聖潔，就無法事奉上帝！讓我們成為聖潔的兒女，靠耶穌基督的寶血，來得潔淨！
